Further expansion oI the business has caused the manager oI Pelangi Travel & Tours to realize
that a database management system will be required to organize all the records involving
company`s clients, packages and hotel`s inIormation.
As a continuation oI your spreadsheet, Pelangi Travel & Tours has decided to hire you to
develop a Travel Database System. The database system is expected to keep track oI client,
packages, and hotel documentations, which are interrelated. The database use Iorms Ior data
entry and produces many reports. Some oI the reports are used to check on the client`s personal
details, packages and tourist guide`s details.
Your task is to create a database according to the instructions given below. The database Iiles are
as per the Iollowing tables. You are to use the best methods to allow ease oI Iuture maintenance
and make the database as user Iriendly as possible.
You are to create a database with an appropriate title Ior your work. Among the tables in the
Pelangi Travel & Tours database are the lient, Package and Tourist Guide tables. The Iollowing
Table 1 (lient ProIiles), Table 2 (Package Table) and Table 3 (Tourist Guide Table) shows the
data Ior the tables:

Question 1:
Based on the given tables, perIorm the Iollowing tasks:

display 'New Basic Salary` in a new column.
viii) Display all the Tourist Guide that had worked with the company Ior more than 4

Question 5 (Presentation Slides of Travel Database System):
You are required to design a set oI Ms Power Point presentation slides to present the Ms Access
objects created in Question 1 to 4. The slides should consist the Iollowing;
a) Screenshots oI all oI the tables in design view. For each table show the field(s) and the
field properties which has been customized, e.g. fields which were set with
validation, input mask and (or) format.
b) Screenshots oI all oI the Iorms and sub Iorms in form view. For each Iorm or sub Iorm,
limit the display to only show one record in each slide.
c) Screenshots oI all oI the queries in query design view.
d) Screenshots oI reports. Limit to only display 5 best reports.
e) In the slides ensure the Iollowing:
O The slide should have relevant title.
O The background is appropriate Ior the topic. Important: Please do not use the
default templates or the wizard. You are to create your own design template in
Master Slide. Background should be consistent as in master view.
O The pictures / graphics are relevant to the topic oI each slide and paste appropriately,
counterpart with the customized background.
O The Iont size Ior the body oI the slide should not be less than 24 pt.
O There is consistency in each slide in terms oI background, Iont size and type, Iooter

throughout the presentation slides.

Assessment Criteria
Distinction
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding oI the Ieatures and Iunctions in Ms OIIice with
detailed evidence displayed during presentation. No errors, such as in Iormulas, were
encountered in the documentation with regard to the usage oI the package. High level oI eIIort
perIormed, exceptional and thorough knowledge and understanding displayed with regard to
Iacilities and services oI the application soItware. The assignment presented in a proIessional
manner, using not only the basic oI the application packages but also various advanced Ieatures.
In order to obtain a grade at this level, the student should be able to present oral arguments in
clear and cogent manner as well as answer most questions conIidently.
Credit
Adequate eIIort conducted with Iair detail oI evidence presented. Moderate level oI
understanding and knowledge displayed with regards to the application soItware. Good level oI
documentation presented. Some level oI understanding was evident in the documentation and
presentation. The assignment should be in proIessional manner, using some basic applications oI
the application packages. At this level student should be able to present adequately some oral
arguments as well as answer questions with average level oI conIidence.
