Part II

1. Ameshi’s mom made a cup of tea. She called Ameshi to come and drink the tea when it is hot. But
Ameshi forgot to drink it. She noticed that her cup of tea is cooled.

(i) Write three ways which heat can be lost from the hot cup of tea. (3 Marks)

(ii) While drinking her cool cup of tea Ameshi thought of making a cup which she can keep her tea
warm for long time. She decided to do following few changes in her cup. State which one of the
above methods are prevented and how each method is reducing heat loss.

(a) Close the lid with a plastic lid.

4. (i) Name the instrument used in the laboratory in to measure electric current.

(iii) Rishi made two electromagnets with two batteries and two coils of copper wires. One
electromagnet had 200 turns of wire and the other one had 100 turns of the wire. He
wanted to test which magnat is the strongest .
(a) Name a material which we can use to test which one is strongest.
