Dear sappers,

we are upgrading our SAP NetWeaver 7.4 system from SPS03 to SPS05 via SUM (mandatory
since SP05).

We are facing the following problem during phase MAIN_SHDRUN/ACT_UPG:

Checks after phase MAIN_SHDRUN/ACT_UPG were negative!

Last error code set: Detected 25 errors summarized in 'ACTUPG.ELG'<br/> Calling

Logs are showing that other objects are being activated, so we don't think is a tp problem.

Preliminary checks by SUM have stated that SPAM and Kernel are sufficient for the upgrade

We were wonder: what kind of objects are? Where can we find them insite the NW system?

Anyone is facing the same issue?

Hello Andrea,

I'm upgrading from 7.3 to 7.4 SP 5 and I

have problems in the same phase.

Check If in the ST22 is a dump with

CREATE_DATA_UNKNOWN_TYPE.

If you have this error, there is these

Hi Andrea,

The error you're getting is related in

particular to the SAP_BASIS 740 sp5
patch. I'm having the same issue and
currently have a message open with SAP
regarding this. Let us know if you've solved
it in the meanwhile.

you selected several technical

If not already solved, OSS message
1940720 describes the issue. First
upgrade your kernel to 7.41 patch 13.

The DDL Sources can only be opened

using Eclipse with the ABAP Development
Tools addin. It shows syntax errors in the
source scripts when the kernel version is
too low.

And you need to patch SUM to 1.0 SP09

Upgrade kernel to 7.41 latest patch,
and use SUM sp09 patch 6.

I was upgrading for SP-level 8 to 9. From
the SAP management console I restarted
the cloned instance and then was able to
continue.

In my case, I have stopped the

shadow instance and restarted and
repeat the phase and went ok:

.../SUM/abap/bin/SAPup stopshd

.../SUM/abap/bin/SAPup startshd
