About Z-Bus Matrix

• Zbus is symmetric when Ybus is symmetric

• Zbus is a full matrix
• In Ybus some of the elements are zero, but in Zbus, zero
elements of Ybus becomes non-zero elements
About Bus Impedance Matrix • Zbus matrix can be found in two ways:
1. Inverse of Ybus matrix
2. Directly found from reactance diagram

single element and the process is to add an element at a time
till all the elements of the system are included.
