1 INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTATION TO BE SUBMITTED

1.1 Miscellaneous item occasional survey


• This survey request needs case by case thorough evaluation.

• All documents/photos/information which could be relevant to be forwarded.

• Additional information and/or on board attendance may be required.

2 REMOTE SURVEYS

2.1 Main objective of the remote survey owner’s preparation note


• To assist owner and crew on board to be prepared for efficient execution of remote surveys.

• To ensure efficient use of time and resources for customer and DNV alike.

2.2 General on remote surveys


• DNV accepts various type of surveys which could be carried out remotely provided that level of assurance is
equivalent to an onboard survey.

• Based on evaluation carried out considering various aspects of risks involved, DNV reserves the right to
decline remote survey requests.

• Internet connectivity must available on the vessel as continuous communication with vessel may be required.
Live video streaming will also be required for selected surveys.

• The following basic information could be required (as applicable) by assigned DNV Surveyor for evaluation:

o Master's statement.

o Photos.

o Service reports, vessel records, logs.

o Flag correspondence.

o Scope specific document.

• DNV utilizes Onsight Connect (Librastream) video streaming application. We will invite customer to participate
with one of our licenses for free. Following details as stated within 2.3 to be referred for further information.

2.3 Technology requirements if live-streaming is needed
 Procedures to download Onsight Application are as follows:
o Upon request, SMS as below or email saying an invitation to an Onsight video call will be generated
by DNV.
o For first time users of remote livestreaming survey, please press URL 1 and follow the instructions on
your mobile/laptop. No extra fees will be charged.
o Upon installation of the app or recurring user, press URL 2 to join our livestreaming call.
