Position: Storeman/Tool Storeman (KTE)

Weststar Aviation Services Sdn Bhd would like to announce an opening for the post of Storeman/Tool
Storeman. We welcome anyone interested to apply for the post internally. Those interested in

JOB PURPOSE:
Storeman
Receiving incoming items from shipping and sorting, labelling, and storing them in their allocated
location. Additionally, to issue out items from the warehouse to users and ensure they are in good
condition and accompanied with appropriate documents. Also to take appropriate actions on returned
items including quarantine, scrap, and return to vendor.
Tool Storeman
The Tool Storeman shall order, receive, issue, secure, and maintain the inventory of all tools, special
equipment, and tool cribs as per the tool control program. Tool Storeman shall ensure tools and
equipment are sent for testing, repair, or calibration; and submit a Daily Tool Report on status of Tools.
Shall maintain tool records as per AD system and applicable instructions.

JOB SUMMARY/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


STOREMAN (AREA: BONDED STORE)
Receiving Items:
1. Receiving items from shipping, check documentation accompanying and update records of
receipt.

2. Note the condition of items and any damage or discrepancy in documents to be noted, item
segregated and placed in quarantine and the matter reported to your superior.
3. Label received items and indicate the storage location as contained in the records.

4. Place items in their appropriate storage location, update records in inventory system and file all
documents accordingly.

Issuing Items:

5. On receipt of approved purchase requests, locate and retrieve items and issue as requested. Update
parts issue records.

6. File all documents in their appropriate files.

7. Verify returned items, its condition, appropriate labels and other documents and process the items
as required.

Returned Items:

8. Place the returned items in the appropriate racks/quarantine as necessary and inform immediate
supervisor for further action.

9. Dispose of returned items as directed by the immediate supervisor.

10. Prepare items for shipment back to vendors including appropriate protection, packaging and
raising the appropriate Packing List.

11. Carry out any other tasks given to you by your immediate supervisor.

TOOL STOREMAN (AREA: TOOL STORE)

12. Receives, stocks, controls, inventories tools, and support equipment in accordance with
established procedures.

13. Issues tools, test equipment, test measurement, diagnostic equipment, and support equipment from
the tool store, and maintains strict accountability.

14. Performs preventative and minor maintenance on tools and support equipment.

15. Ensures tools and support equipment is clean, oiled, and serviceable.

16. Marks and identifies tools and equipment for quick inventory.

17. Ensures tools and equipment are sent for testing, repair, or calibration.

18. Performs equipment custodian duties and manages the custodian authorization/custody receipt
listing.

19. Practise good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times.

20. May perform other duties related to the classification as assigned by immediate supervisor.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• SPM
• Preferred with credit in English
• Knowledge in warehouse and inventory
• Aviation related store

COMPETENCIES

Knowledge & skills required:

• Computer literate
• Basic communication skills – English and Bahasa Melayu.
• Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate the English language and follow
verbal and written instruction Analytical skill of data
• To operate warehouse machinery
• Basic knowledge of warehouse management
• Basic knowledge of inventory management
• Packing knowledge
• Ability to operate warehouse vehicles (forklift, MEWP, etc)

Personal Attributes:

• Physically capable to carry out duties as Storeman/tool Storeman


• Resilient to handle multiple tasks
• Able to work under stressful environments and odd working hours (such as shift, roster or
specific hours)
