 ABSTRACT

This Student Management system Project will have different modules. The login section will have
login facility for the admin and for the user who will operate this system. The Student Management
system is a application that allows visitors details availability,can maintain the details of the books

Student Management System is defined as a strategic process of an organization based on a

comprehensive framework of instructions and well-designed set of guiding rules, for undergoing
organizational operations for achieving organization target.

With the advancement of technology, it is imperative to exalt all the systems into a user-friendly
manner. The Student Management system (LMS) acts as a tool to transform traditional libraries into
digital libraries. In traditional libraries, the students/user has to search for books which are hassle
process and there is no proper maintenance of database about issues/fines. The overall progress of
work is slow and it is impossible to generate a fast report. The librarians have to work allotted for
arranging, sorting books in the book sells. At the same time, they have to check and monitor the
lend/borrow book details with its fine. It is a tedious process to work simultaneously in different
sectors. LMS will assist the librarians to work easily. The LMS supports the librarians to encounter
all the issues concurrently. The users need not stand in a queue for a long period to return/borrow a
book from the student. The single PC contains all the data's in it. The librarians have to assess the
system and provide an entry in it. Through LMS the librarian can find the book in the bookshelves.
The LMS is designed with the basic features such as librarian can add/view/update/delete books and
students' details in it. Once he/she ingress into the system they can modify any data's in the database.
The complete model is developed in Dot net technology, the C# language is used to build the front
end application whereas the SQL server is exploiting as database. The authorized person can only
access the LMS system, they have to log in with their user id and password. As aforementioned that
the LMS is designed in a user-friendly manner, so the admin can smoothly activate the system without
expert advice. Every data is storing and retrieving from the SQL database so it is highly secure. Thus
our system contributes its new approach towards the digital student setup.

of books in the student, how many books are issued, or how many books have been returned

quickly, and manage all the data efficiently and orderly using this system. The purpose of a

LITERATURE SURVEY

Automated Student System using Robotic Arm (2019). K. V. Jyothi Prakash The main objective
was to overcome the problem of searching the books in the student and provide automation in a
user friendly manner. The robot with an arm is designed which can search the required book, pick
the book from the rack and deliver the book to the issue counter. It can also place the book in its
designated slot once the book is returned by the borrower. The hardware and software required
for automated student system using robotic arm has been designed. Design and Development of
IOT Based Smart Student using Line Follower Robot.(2020) Gupta, T, Tripathi, R. Shukla, M.
K. and Mishra, S. The purpose of the Smart Student system is to provide the details of a large
number of books, magazines, journals, these is and allow the administrator/Librarian, staff or
students to search, borrow and return facilities. This system will reduce the time required for a
task like issuing and returning the book as it reduces the human interception and uses electronic
and mechanical automation in place of that. Executing this system in central libraries will help
many readers. Various privileges are accorded to different user types. For librarian staff, the robot
is accessible through voice commands as well so that it can help the staff in managing and
maintaining the student properly. While the readers can access it through the web database for
getting the details of their account and can opt for issuing or return a book though it without going
anywhere. DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENT ASSISTANT ROBOT(2015)
Ranjani.R, M.Nandhini, G.Madhumitha New techniques are being made suitable for improving
and making student service effective to the user community as the manual service is time
consuming. Using computer networks for resource sharing, enables student to obtain only
bibliographic details from the student‟s collection, but to handle the materials, the designed robot
assist in locating the position and collecting the material from the section of rack. The designed
assistant robot is efficient in handling the book and is reliable to be adopted in student.

Student Assistant Robot Robots in Student Management System(2017).Deepthi Unnikrishnan,

Aswani C R, Arjun K Jayaprakash, Ganesh S The robot end consist of a line follower robot which
works with ATmega328 microcontroller. The input is given using a matrix keypad. The name of
the book is displayed in LCD. The RFID card reader scans for RFID tag placed in each book and
the RF transceiver used to communicate between the two ends.

The shelf end consist of three motors driven using a motor drive which is used to push the book
from the shelf to the basket in the robot, all the control is done by the ATmega328 microcontroller
which inter links with the other microcontroller using RF transceiver.

and maintained on a regular basis to guarantee its dependability and security. Additionally, users
must be able to access student resources, browse for books, request materials, and renew
borrowed things using online portals. Automated Student System using Android Based

records, Books for reference and research purpose, to publish bibliographies, to promote
Student Service by exhibiting books, arranging popular talks, seminars and other functions
having educative value, to offer guidance for related technical service and other student matter
etc. The purpose of a student management system is to operate a student with efficiency and
at reduced costs. The system being entirely automated streamlines all the tasks involved in
operations of the student. The activities of book purchasing, cataloging, indexing, circulation
recording and stock checking are done by the software. Such software eliminates the need for
repetitive manual work and minimizes the chances of errors. The student management system
software helps in reducing operational costs. Managing a student manually is labor intensive
and an immense amount of paperwork is involved. An automated system reduces the need for
manpower and stationery. This leads to lower operational costs. The system saves time for
both the user and the librarian. With just a click the user can search for the books available in
the student. The librarian can answer queries with ease regarding the availability of books.

MOTIVATION
To store all the information in the database from where user will place their query and get the
results on the basis of their query. Only valid users will be able to access this Student Management
System. Through this Student Management System it will be easy to manage accounts and
various details of particular student and employees working under student along with the records
of book. Motivation arouses, energizes, influences and sustains. behaviour and performance of
employees. Motivating factors include. extrinsic factors which pertain to the conditions under
which a job is. performed and intrinsic motivators which contribute to job satisfaction. The
current Student Management System does not eliminate the process of searching books within
the student campus. Students have to find books manually. They have to wait until they are not
provided with their student card and token. For receiving book they have to show their student
card and wait in line for their turns. The admin personnel also have to look manually on which
day which person will take the charge within student to manage the overall work. This Student
Management System will have login page from where its user can access. This page will provide
login for admin, working staff members and the students. Staff members accounts will be manage
by the admin. To access the student resources students have to register by using their registration
number, email address, phone number, class roll number and password. After successful
registration they will be provided the login facility. Students can search books by using book
ISBN number or by author name or by title of book along with author name. After completion of
this process students will be provided with book details such as where it is located by using
location number and by their row and column number. If any student has lost their book, then
this should be informed to student working staff member where they can made changes to their
account and take appropriate actions such as fine. Admin will able to add staffs, delete staffs, add
students, delete students, add books, manage account details, schedule working time table etc.

After successful registration they will be provided the login facility. Students can search books
by using book ISBN number or by author name or by title of book along with author name. After
completion of this process students will be provided with book details such as where it is located
by using location number and by their row and column number. If any student has lost their book,

smooth and effective manner.

It also provides error message while entering invalid data. No formal knowledge is
needed for the user to use this system. Thus, by this all it proves it is user-friendly.
