Robotics

The main idea of this assignment is to understand:


1. What do we mean by robotics?
2. How does it work?
3. Can we use it in our daily life?
4. Robotics with AI.

1. What do we mean by Robotics?

Robotics is the designing, construction, development, programming, and


testing of robots. Robots have been friendly to humans since they were
developed. The particular field made for robot designing is mechanical
engineering.
In this process, the robots are designed and made physically. The other
parts contributing to robotics are software, electronics, and
communication.
How to behave, identify, recognize, store data and data analysis needs to
be programmed in a robot. Robots are helpful to us in many ways but still
harmful to us let's see how.

They are more precise. Do only what is told.
Produce accurate information. The cost of repairing is huge.
Do not need rests. Needs a lot of maintenance.

2. How does it work?

A robot works through the sensors and programs that are set into it. For
example: c-BC2N a robot can solve this sum easily but for humans, this
looks hard. These are different sensors in a robot:
➔ Proximity sensor: This is used in a robot to detect an object near it.
➔ Light sensor: is used to detect light and set pixels and voltage
according to it.
➔ GPS: to detect the robot's location which can be controlled through
a phone.
➔ Sound sensor: to detect sound and respond to it.
➔ Memory chip: to remember things and the program set in it.

This is the way a robot works.

3. Can we use it in our daily life?

Yes, we can use robotics in our daily lives. It can be used to do various
chores, as a companion and a lot more. Some companies are selling
robots to citizens to help with their daily chores. Do you like dogs but are
not ready for cleaning? No issues because some companies have
managed to create a robot dog who acts exactly like real dogs.

4. Robotics With AI

AI is an uprising topic nowadays. AI means Artificial Intelligence. This is


the same as robotics but just is not physical and is present digitally like
ChatGPT by OpenAI. Robotics with AI is possible. It is to integrate AI
technologies into robots. It is majorly done through API keys which are
provided by OpenAI. Making robots with the help of AI is much easier
because all the program is written and inserted by AI itself. Even we can
develop a robot by simply joining some parts and writing some pieces of
code like our Sarhad Robotics Team did. But we should remember that
each coin has two sides...
