The VM-7 Monitoring System comes with 11 manuals which contain information for different operations as
well as tasks.

Channel Bypass
Channel bypass is a function to disable all outputs from the channel. This function is used when setting
the warning or during maintenance or inspection.
On the MCL View, channel bypass of the VM-7 monitor can be turned ON/OFF.
When the Channel Bypass function is used, there is no output from the contact that is related to the
warning even if the measurement value exceeds the warning set value.

To uninstall the MCL View, go to Start-up Menu/Settings/Control Panel and select "Add/Delete Programs".

3 Set the IP address and the IP port number, and press [OK].
The communication information window will be closed,
and the IP address will be assigned for "Rack No. 1".
IP address of each module must set for it not to overlap beforehand when you connect two
or more monitors on the same network.
The LAN cable should be laid down with enough space for other power and control lines.

Point
The update of the data of the "MCL View" stops when the network is cut. At this time, trend data is not
preserved.
In general, the IP address of the PC is set to automatic acquisition. When the PC is used as a display PC, it is
necessary to set the IP address manually.
The following values are references for the address setting.
IP Address 192.168.8.254
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Set the address so that it is not the same IP address as that set in Chapter 3.
Depending on the conditions, the above procedures may have an effect on other networks.
Please set the IP address according to the network administrator's instruction.
For the connection on the instrument rack side, use the upper right port of the instrument rack.
This is applicable for VM-761B (with an Eurotype input/output port panel) as well as VM-762B (a batch output
panel connecter).

For the connection on the instrument rack side, use the forth port from the top at the upper right part of the
instrument rack.
This is applicable for VM-761 (with an Eurotype input/output port panel) as well as VM-762 (a batch output
panel connecter).

These buttons are used to set the instrument rack you
want to display.
By pressing these buttons, the communication

This window displays the IP address for connecting to each rack No., and is used to set or change the IP address
of the connection destination.

The password input when the processing of the system reset screen or the channel reset screen is executed can
be changed. The default password is "0824". The password cannot be invalidated.
To display the password setting screen, push [password] on the detailed information window.

The system reset window is a window which appears when either of the following indicators displayed on the
left side of the bar graph screen is pressed: DAN, ALT, OK, BYP or D-BYP.
This window is used to reset Peak Hold or Firstout, and to set the DANGER Bypass.

To display the setting window for measurement point information, press "Setting" on the train screen.
This window is used to set information displayed on the train screen.

The measurement point selection window will appear by pressing [Add] or [Change] buttons in the setting
window for measurement point information.
This window is a window on which measurement point information to be displayed on the train screen is added
or changed.

The old data window will appear when the "Old" button is pressed on a trend graph screen.
This window is used to specify the date and time of older measurement value, and display it in the trend graph.
The time range displayed in a trend graph corresponds to the time line set in the trend graph setting window.
Data retention period is as follows:
For Short Term setting: One week
For Long Term setting: Three years

The trend graph setting window appears by pressing the [Setting] button on a trend graph screen.
This window is used to set the time line of the graph, and signals to be displayed.
There are Data and Entry tabs in a trend graph setting window.
For details about the trend graph setting, see “5.2 Trend graph screen setting P.43”.

The Data tab is used for setting the time line, etc. for the graph display.

VM-771B Warranty Provision
Warranty Provision
The warranty period for the delivered product shall be 3 years (except for special products and software, and of
which shall be 1 year) from the date of delivery from our factory.
In the event that the delivered product develops any defects within the warranty period for which our company
is liable, the defective product will be replaced or repaired in our factory at our own expense.
In the event that an engineer needs to be dispatched for repair purposes during the warranty period, travel
expenses for the said engineer will be charged in accordance with the company's regulations. The cost of repair
will be borne by our company.
However, the following are excluded from our warranty:
Other defects are considered not to be attributable to our company. This warranty applies exclusively to the
delivered product unit, and our company will not be liable for consequential damage caused either directly or
indirectly through a defect of the delivered product.
The warranty period and scope of equipment made by manufacturers other than our company shall be in
accordance with the conditions of respective manufacturer, regardless of the provisions made above.
The warranty for repaired products shall be 6 months from the date of the service on the concerned part.
All the other conditions are as stated in “1. Warranty Conditions for Newly Delivered Products”.
