There are many technological resources on the internet that can help students in improving their
writing for educational purposes. These digital studying tools save time and increase writing efficiency.
Three different digital tools that has the potential to enhance productivity in writing.
Grammarly
Grammarly helps with detecting grammar mistakes. It then provides real-time feedback to avoid errors
and improve skills in time. The application suggests tone, checks plagiarism, and accelerates typing. The
common ways Grammarly helps students are, grammar, spelling, and punctuation correction, rewriting
sentences for overclarity and tone suggestions. And it is also a plagiarism checker. Grammarly’s
algorithms flag potential issues in the text and make context-specific suggestions to help with grammar,
spelling and usage, wordiness, style, punctuation, tone, and even plagiarism (Grammarly, n.d).
Practical Scenario: I am writing an assignment Microeconomics assignment. Grammarly is a digital
writing tool that can be used to check for grammatical errors, punctuation, and spelling mistakes. As I
write, Grammarly automatically checks my text, and the overall score icon moves in a circle to indicate
that checking is in progress. I keep on typing, Grammarly will continue checking and making suggestions
so that I can correct any grammar mistakes and spelling check. My assignment will then be written
perfectly without mistakes. The advantages are of having clearly written assignments with correctness,
clarity and engagement.
ProWritingAid
It is an AI assistant software for teams and individuals. It combines human expertise and AI-powered
analysis to help struggling students. The application suggests thousands of grammar and style
improvements at the touch of a button. It's specific features and functions are; it has a rephrasing tool,
therefore it transforms words to captivating sentences and improves readability of the writer's piece. It
also has a plagiarism checker which ensures 100% uniqueness when you write (Nehra, 2023).
Practical Scenario: When writing sometimes, one can make spelling and grammar mistakes. I am writing
an assignment Marketing assignment, this tool will be checking spellings, checking grammar and making
suggestions for corrections and improvements. My assignment will then be perfectly written without
mistakes. The advantages are of having clearly written assignments with Correctness, Clarity and
Engagement.

Citations are crucial to most academic articles, as they help college students avoid plagiarism. But with

The advantages is that with the correct referencing in my assignments it will be easy for my instructor to

Grammarly can be used for different purposes and are well-suited for teams with specific needs. BibMe
can be usefull on its own and not compared to Grammarly or ProWritingAid as is specifically focuses on
citations and bibliographies. I think Grammarly is the best of then all as it can be used with a whole lot
of different audience.
Conclusion
Every digital tool has its own uniqueness. And it will aslo depend on who is using it, is the tool suitable
for whatever that you are using it for. The choice of tool depends on the specific needs and preferences
of the writer.
