3. Filipinos are proud of their faith. While Christianity is the religion of the
majority of Filipinos, Islam and other indigenous faiths are also on the
rise. Their religious spirit can be seen during festivals such as Ati-Atihan,
Kaamulan, Panabenga, and the famous three-month Christmas
celebration.

4. Filipino culture is very family-oriented, which has resulted in relaxed


attitudes. Although they may not have the material wealth that many
Western countries do, they are richer in many ways because of their
tightly knit social and family structures.

5. They are unconcerned about the consequences ("bahala na" attitude roughly translates to
"it's fine" or "whatever") and believe that it will resolve itself gradually.

6. The bayanihan is one of the most beautiful and enduring Filipino traditions, capturing the
Filipinos' strong sense of community. Traditionally, the bayanihan is performed by
assisting a neighbor in relocating their kubo (native homemade of nipa).
