ABSTRACT

Insert your abstract here. This portion is not to be indented and should be clear,

concise, and complete. As much as possible, limit the introductory part to a few

sentences and make sure that the last sentence reiterates the achievement of the

general objective of the research.

INTRODUCTION

Project Context

The background of the study is the story of your research. In this portion, you

give a narrative of the research.

It is suggested that you use an inverted triangle approach in the story telling,

starting with a general overview and moving on to the specifics. You should be

generous in your citations because it lends credence to your work. You should

specifically cite statements of facts to support your arguments.

Capture the research problem or gaps. It is suggested that you give the

statement of the problem. The solution to the problem would be identified in the next

section.

Objectives of the Study

Start with the general objective of the research. The general objective should

provide the answer to the problem just stated above. In a way, the general objective is a

restatement of the title of the research.

The proposal initially aims to do the following: (Just edit the details enclosed with

“<>”

1. To design and develop a <software type/name/platform> which will be

capable of:

a. <Feature 1, short description 1 and benefit 1>

2

b. <Feature 2, short description 2 and benefit 2 and so on

(enumerate at least 4)>

2. To identify the algorithms used in developing the <software name>. (This

section is for BSCS students only, BSIT students only have 3 objectives)

3. To develop the <software name> in order to determine if it is compliant

with the ITD Software Evaluation Tool.

4. To prepare an implementation plan for the deployment of the <software

name>.

Purpose and Description

Insert the significance of the study. Be exhaustive. You may not include the

significance of the study to you as a student. State the purpose of the project and

describe the significance of applying this study for the intended beneficiaries

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

Related Studies

For the review of related literature, make sure to touch on the most important

aspects of your study. Use a topical outline. In your style of discussion, be sure to

adopt a storyline. Do not forget to cite all statements of facts, main ideas/trends,

equations, findings, etc. Use APA format for the citation. As much as possible, use most

recent journal articles. Use books sparingly. And no Wikipedia, please!

For tables, use the following format:

Provide a conceptual framework in the form of a single diagram which should

show all the aspects of the study. Provide a description of the framework after the

diagram.

METHODOLOGY

This chapter includes the design of software, systems, products, or processes,

system development, system testing and evaluation, data analysis and implementation

plan of the study.

Requirements Analysis. The researcher collected more detailed information

about the needs and requirements for the Filipino Sign Language tutorial in the

requirements analysis phase. This was done through an interview. The president of the

Philippine Federation of the Deaf, Inc., the mother organization of the Deaf organizations

in the Philippines and the number one supporter of the use of the Filipino Sign Language

as the language of the Filipino deaf,…

Requirements Documentation. The study focuses on the development of a

mobile application in sign language tutorial for Filipinos that can help the hearing

community to learn the language of the deaf. It includes the equivalent FSL of English

words and sentences shown in the animation that…

Implementation Plan (Infrastrcuture/Deployment)

The Implementation Plan describes how the information system will be deployed,

installed and transitioned into an operational system. The plan contains an overview of

the system, a brief description of the major tasks involve in the implementation, the

overall resources needed to support the implementation effort (such as hardware,

software. Facilities, materials, and personnel), and any site-specific implementation

requirments.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

This chapter presents the project description and structure, capabilities and

limitation, and project evaluation.

System Design

The application includes the equivalent FSL of English words and sentences

shown in animation. It also includes…

System Development

The application used the agile model of development because it guided the

researcher on an iterative phase of development that helped to ensure an improvement

to the application after every testing, and efficiency testing. The result of testing was

then used as the basis for improvement that will be done by going through each phase

iteratively. Table 3 shows the…

System Testing

After developing the application in the building phase, the application was

subjected to functionality, portability testing, and efficiency testing. The result of

testing was then used as the basis for improvement that will be done by going

through each phase iteratively.

12

SUMMARY, CONCLUSIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter presents the summary of findings, conclusions, and

recommendations based on the result of the test and evaluation conducted.

Summary

Provide a rather concise summary of the research work.

Conclusions

The conclusions are direct statements that would prove the achievement of the

specific objectives. The conclusions should have one-to-one correspondence to the

specific objectives, i.e. if you have 4 specific objectives (a to d) then you should have 4

conclusions (1 to 4).

Recommendations

Enumerate the final recommendations for the future works.
