Prioritize Demand

In its search for a feasible solution, Capable to Match (CTM) considers constraints and priorities. CTM
prioritizes demand and categorizes supplies to come up with the first feasible solution, which is not
necessarily the optimum solution. This is the reason why it is recommended to use CTM in conjunction
with the other SNP planning runs.

Powertastic’s top management has decided that priorities will not be set for the location-specific
products or for locations. Therefore, prioritization will occur on a first-come, first-serve basis by due
dates. Powertastic’s policy is to satisfy all customer orders, before the forecasted demand.

 Use low-priority supplies in bottleneck situations

Supply items will be assigned to categories such as normal or excess stock. When an order for an item
