Fixed Storage Bin

You apply this strategy if you want to put away a product in fixed storage bins in a storage
type. You use this strategy primarily in storage types from which picking is done manually.
You assign fixed storage bins manually.

If you want to put away a product without fixed bin assignment in a storage type for which you
have defined the strategy “Fixed Storage Bin”, the system determines a suitable storage bin
and assigns it to the product as a fixed storage bin.

The following figure is an example of a fixed bin assignment. In this example, warehouse
0001 has several fixed storage bins: FIX-AA, FIX-BB, and FIX-DD. Multiple fixed storage bins
can be available for a product, for example, FIX-1-BB and FIX-2-BB for product BB.

Prerequisites
Define Storage Type: 0050 Fixed bin storage type
○ You have chosen the Standard Warehouse value in the Storage Behaviour field.
○ You have chosen the Addition to Existing Stock/Empty Bin value in the Put away
Rules field.
○ You have tick use fixed bin indicator in storage type

Fixed Bin assignment: /N/SCWM/BINMAT


○ You have set the Fixed Bins Allowed indicator.
○ You have defined a maximum number of fixed storage bins in the Max. Fixed
Bins field

STEP 1. Define storage type 0050 Fixed bin storage type
SPRO→IMG→ SCM Extended Warehouse Management→ Extended Warehouse Management→
Master Data→ Define Storage Types

Step 2. Create a bin /N/SCWM/LS01
Create a 5 bin

5 bins have been created

Step 3. Generate Activity Area from Storage Type


SPRO→IMG→ SCM Extended Warehouse Management→ Extended Warehouse Management→
Master Data→

Here I am going to generate activity area for whole storage type TP50 I am going to generate one
activity area with the name of TP50 for all activities

Step 6. Bin sorting /N/SCWM/SBST

All 5 bins with all this activities system is going to generate bin sorting

/N/SCWM/LS02 display storage bin in activity area tab we can for the TP50-01-01 all activity area is
defined

9.Fixed Bin assignment /N/SCWM/BINMAT
○ You have set the Fixed Bins Allowed indicator.
○ You have defined a maximum number of fixed storage bins in the Max. Fixed
Bins field

Click on edit mode

Click on create icon

Enter storage bin which need to fixed & storage type, product , minimum qty , UOM , enable the fised
icon

According to our configuration system is taking fixed storage type and bin

Final putaway is completed

We can do putaway till 500 Qty in same bin whenever we do nxt putaway for same product it will go
for same bin because in Storage type putaway rules 2 we have given addition to existing stock/empty
bin
