RATIONALE:
DepEd recognizes the importance of the development and advancement of
students and learners on the principle of lifelong learning. One of the many ways
of developing one’s skills is engaging them in different activities that will best
suit their interests and skills. Engaging in scientific research projects allows
students to gain a variety of practical skills that are crucial for their academic
and professional development. Students will be able to hone their skills in data
gathering, experimental design, analysis, and presentation at this conference.
These abilities are transportable and can be used in a variety of disciplines of

study and future jobs. Research conference provides a venue for students to be
recognized and celebrated for their efforts and accomplishments in scientific
research. It provides students with the opportunity to be recognized for their
accomplishments, enhancing their self-confidence and motivation. Furthermore,
recognizing and rewarding exceptional projects might motivate other students
to pursue scientific research and flourish in their studies. Students from various
classes, grades, and scientific specialties will attend the conference. Students will
be able to communicate ideas, share knowledge, and learn from one another if
cooperation and networking opportunities are fostered. This collaborative
environment fosters teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills, all of
which are important in academic and professional situations.

OBJECTIVES:
Specifically, this aims to:
1. Promote Student Engagement in Scientific Research
a. Encourage students to take an active role in scientific research initiatives and to
learn more about the scientific method.
b. Encourage pupils to perform independent research on scientific issues of
interest.
c. Engage students in hands-on research activities to foster a culture of curiosity
and critical thinking.
2. Enhance Presentation and Communication Skills
a. Allow students to hone their presentation and communication abilities by
presenting their study findings to a larger audience.
b. Encourage pupils to articulate complex scientific topics clearly and concisely.
c. To communicate study findings, encourage the use of visual aids, data
visualization, and effective storytelling strategies.
3. Foster Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing
a. Create a platform for students to interact, exchange ideas, and learn from one
another's research projects to encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing.
b. Encourage students to provide constructive comments and to participate in
intellectual debates on scientific themes.
c. Encourage students from various scientific disciplines to cooperate on projects
and contribute their unique insights to promote interdisciplinary collaboration.

EXPECTED OUTPUT OF THE TRAINING:
At the end of the activity, participants are expected to improve and strengthen
their scientific skills, such as research design, data gathering and analysis,
critical thinking, and problem-solving ability. Students will obtain practical
experience and a deeper grasp of the scientific process by participating in their
investigational projects and presenting their findings. With this activity, students,
and other participants will be able to learn about a variety of scientific topics and
research initiatives during the conference that will help to raise the level of
scientific literacy in the school community, encouraging a greater understanding
and enthusiasm for scientific knowledge and its practical applications. Students
will be more engaged with scientific topics and inspired to pursue their scientific
studies
further.
