BIG-A JS PROM 2024

And tonight….to suffice the call of the occasion…..this year’s JS Prom is geared towards the Red Carpet
Premiere as our JUNIORS and SENIORS walk with their elegant and ravishing formal attires, long gown
and cocktails!

And without further ado…to kick the ball rolling, let’s paint the town gold and roll out the red carpet for
the grand entrance of juniors and seniors as they take the Red Carpet!!!!

CHYANTAL: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to the magical land of Kings and Queens,
Princes and Princesses, Fairies, Knights, and the like. Where your dreams do come true and your
thoughts come to life. Everyone look so stunning and in this time of the occasion. This must be another
once-upon-a-time in the storybook of our dearest Alma Mater wherein we bring reality to our every
dream.

Let our fancies fill the magical wonders of our hearts! Juniors and Seniors, welcome to the Hue Hotel &
Resort. The much-awaited social gathering of the junior and senior students of our school as they are
poised for take-off to the world of fashion, fad & craze!

And to formally commence this event, please rise and feel a few moments of solemnity for an invocation
to be led by Mary Antoinette Claud.

CHYANTAL: Please remain standing and imbibe among ourselves the virtue of nationalism & patriotism
through the singing of Philippine National Anthem to be followed by Aklan Hymn and BIG-A Hymn.

CHYANTAL: Once again, good evening handsome gentlemen and the beautiful young ladies who are all
dressed up for this exciting occasion. Welcome to the BIG-A Prom Night 2024!!! Seeing everyone
wearing formal attires and cocktail dresses and not their usual uniforms is such a refreshing sight. And I
bet you are all excited to dance your friends, crushes and to have fun tonight. For sure all of you even
our teachers have spent time, treasure and energy for this wonderful event, right? And to officially start
our program, let’s all listen to the welcome message of our SSG President, Mr. Jaime Kashmir Jacinto L.
Teodosio. Let’s give him a warm round of applause!

Thank you so much to our SSG President for that uplifting message.

CHYANTAL: How could this event be of that much importance to us? Junior and Senior Promenades have
existed generations before us. The reason why it’s so memorable is because it is OUR time to unwind
with friends and meet people whom we haven’t got a chance to know in the earlier months of the year.
And better to that, it is a chance for us to undergo transition and conduct ourselves not as kids, but as
ladies and gentlemen. This brings us immeasurable joy; an experience worth the sharing in the years to
come.
And to explain further the central idea of this evening’s soiree, let's listen to the Words of Welcome by
our School Admin, Mr. Warde P. Villapania. Let's give him a round of applause!

CHYANTAL: May 3, 2024 is the date marked by all in their calendars – The Junior and Senior Promenade.
To everyone who are here tonight it is within my consciousness and I shall not be singular in telling that
we all have worked hard just to be present here tonight. During our practice, we all have endured the
countless hours of standing, waltzing, singing and repeating things over and over just to get things right.
But we know deep within our hearts that all our hardships will pay off tonight!

To all juniors, this will be your first time or another time perhaps to have this JS Prom. Yo’ve been
excited from the very day you stepped into the portals of this academic institution. Such is a grand
experience worthy of anticipation. For the seniors, this will be another wonderful experience but
perhaps the most memorable of them all; since, it will be one of the few that is left to be done before
your very graduation.

People say high school is about getting an education and getting into a good college to succeed in life.
Indeed, it is a roller coaster ride. It is the period of exploring the unknown, a time of shaping one’s true
identity and the stage of building bonds and friendships. This evening, another milestone is about to
unfold in our lives as we take part in one of the most awaited moment in high school.

At this juncture, to introduce to us our Guest Speaker for this year's BIG-A JS Promenade, may we call in
our School Admin, Mr. Warde P. Villapania.

CHYANTAL: At this point, I am quite sure that everyone is excited to get the taste of luscious &
sumptuous food to be served for dinner by the accommodating crew members of Hue Hotel.

So before we prolong such “digestive revolution” inside us, we are now declaring with full force
that….”IT’S EATING TIME!”

Let’s enjoy the food in observance of the table etiquette as usual. Happy Eating, everyone! Bon Appetit!
DINNER TIME.........

CHYANTAL: Good evening once again! Is the food great? Still craving for another serving? Seemingly,
everyone enjoys taking dinner so as to be all-set for the next part of the program.

As a tradition of turning over the responsibility to the incoming seniors, the present Grade 10 are going
to hand over emblems that would resemble knowledge, wisdom, and leadership. And speaking of
Leadership, may we call on our SSG President, Mr. Jaime Kashmir Jacinto L. Teodosio and Sophia Huang.

Our turnover ceremony will not be complete if we don’t give stress to a cache of accomplishments of
the Student Council in various programs and projects. Towards the end of this School year, the Student
Council has left no stones unturned in empowering the student body and in serving the BIG-Aeans in
every step of the way.

In this part of the program, we will witness the Grade 10 as they pass on and entrust to their Grade 9
counterparts things that hold great significance and symbolisms. To turn over the key of responsibility,
may I call on Jaime Kashmir Jacinto L. Teodosio, SSG President. And to receive the key, may I call on
Sophia Huang, Grade 9 Class President.

And such odyssey of service and leadership is about to end….to turn the hourglass upside down for the
new breed of student-leaders in the service of the BIG-Aeans. And to make it happen, may we hand in
the microphones to the predecessor and the successor for the passing of the golden key of
responsibilities. Let’s give them a nice big hand!

KEY OF RESPONSIBILITY......

To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe. Not
only to watch people work but also to take responsibilities. Once again, let's give a big hand to our SSG
President, Jaime Teodosio and Grade 9 Class President, Sophia Huang.

CHYANTAL: Now, Ladies and gentlemen, let's have the turning over of the Book of Knowledge. To turn
over the BOOK OF KNOWLEDGE, may i call on Asher Lim and Angelene Fernandez to come forward and
deliver their tasks.

 Thank you so much Asher Lim and Angelene Fernandez. May you inspire all the BIG-Aeans with your
impressive academic standing and well-balanced study habits.

CHYANTAL: Well…predicting outcomes of our future success is a joy to do but there is one effective way
to find out! Surely, we now know who will be the next artists, scientists, mathematicians, journalists,
and the like; to hold titles by virtue of personal achievement is indeed too much to be proud of. And to
interpret the vibrations not from magic crystal ball but from the sheer guts and will power of the
seniors, may we request the presence of Kiene Jenelle Calansingin for the reading of Class Prophecy.

CLASS PROPHECY........

Thank you Kiene for such eloquence and wit to deliver the contents of your Prophecy. I have nothing to
say with regard to that, but “God bless to all of you! Your road to success will always be under
construction. But, with your innate aptitude coupled with great attitude, you can shape up your attitude
with accuracy and fondness.

And of course, this will be probably included in the roster of specific legacies of the Senior Class to be
ceded to the Junior Class.

CHYANTAL: And speaking of legacies and bequests, may we request our Grade 10 student, Rhea Aguila
for the reading of Class Last Will & Testament.

LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT........

Thank you very much Rhea! It is guaranteed that the last will and testament of the Junior Class is now in
good hands. You are now committed to exerting indefatigable effort in walking the beaten paths, so to
speak. So, we challenge you to soar high in all aspects but to keep your both feet on the ground despite
of meritorious achievements. These are your gargantuan roles as would be SENIORS next school year.

CHYANTAL: Moving forward, Ladies and gentlemen, let us now have the Words of Wisdom. May I call on
Jay-Ann Panagsagan and Paul Mcshane Celada.

WORDS OF WISDOM.......
Thank you so much Jay-Ann and Paulcshane! Indeee, greatness lies not in being strong but in being wise.
And being wise is great if wisdom is used prudently. At this moment, the Grade___students have
prepared for us the dance number. Now, let’s welcome_____in their dance number by giving them a
resounding applause.

Thank you, dear students for that groovy and graceful performance!

CHYANTAL: We’re more than just halfway for this turnover stuff. Furthermore, no JS Prom is considered
memorable in the absence of candle-lighting ceremony. Such ceremony symbolizes the hand-over of the
candles to the next bearers so as to lead & guide our school and its stakeholders in reaching their
dreams and aspirations.

The flame of the candle is seen as a sign of the presence and guidance of God that illuminates every
person’s heart and mind. To light the candle, may I call on the New Set of BIG-A SSG Officers of 2023-
2024 to be led by....

As the light radiates in the hearts of everyone here this evening, let us prepare ourselves for the candle
lighting ceremony.

CANDLE LIGHTING CEREMONY.......

The flame atop of every paraffin elucidates the road to success of the outgoing seniors in the next
chapter of their academic career. Lighted candles are visible reminders of our possible triumph over
darkness. It gives a sense of direction, and can draw people together fulfilling our purpose of living in
truth and love.

CHYANTAL: Thank you guys for participating in that ceremony. To all new sets of SSG OFFICERS, may you
fulfill your noble obligations to our school in general and to your fellow schoolmates in particular for the
next academic year. Let's all give them a warm round of applause!

CHYANTAL: We’re almost done with the turn-over of emblems or formal bequeathal ceremony to the
next batch. And to formally moving on to the next exciting one, let's now have the FRIENDSHIP SONG
offered by our dear students from Grade 7 to Grade 12.

CHYANTAL: Thank you so much BIG-Aeans for that wonderful song! And now, this is it! One of the most-
awaited parts of this event is the traditional cotillion de honor that serves as the highlight to the dancing
portion of the Prom. And to showcase the gracefulness and the inclination of the BIG-Aeans tonight,
let’s now welcome the Cotillion de Honor dancers. Let’s give them a big hand with grace and poise!

CHYANTAL: Thank you, cotillion de honor dancers for your awe-inspiring performance. You, guys almost
moved heaven and earth in dancing!

At this very moment, let us grant awards of the night to worthy juniors and seniors. The awards for this
Prom 2024 are: The Best Dressed – or fashion elite male and female; we would not want you to go
empty-handed with all the effort you put in… The Head Turner and the Face of the Night – or the Night
Charmers. The Couple of the Night – or the fabulous pair who had exhibited very impressive chemistry
and qualities needed to represent BIG-A. To give these special awards, may we call in__________

No one is stopping us now from knowing who will win the deserved spot for Prom Royalties 2024. The

CHYANTAL: Tonight is one of the highlights of Boracay Island Global Academy co-curricular events in the
pantheon of social graces & gregariousness! And of course at this very moment, we would not let this
night go without thanking the people who have helped in the success of this event.
