Assignment Instructions
For this assignment, you are a group of International Business strategists currently
considering expanding the company’s business into a country of your group’s choice. The
team is required to write a business report (3,000 words) on the internationalisation strategy
using the following steps;
a. Please submit the name and URL link of the company by Week 4 to your
tutor.
b. Company is on a first-come, first serve basis. There should be no duplicates.
3. Identify 2 potential South East Asia countries (Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia,
Singapore, Myanmar, Thailand, Brunei, Indonesia, Philippines) that your team
wishes to expand into. Please ensure that the company you have chosen in the
previous step is not from the same country that you plan to expand into.
4. Compare and contrast these two countries based on the factors influencing
international business.
5. Prepare a business report with the goal/aim to;

Interim Review
An interim review will be conducted during tutorial classes in Weeks 6 and 7.
During the review, as a team, you are expected to report on the following;
a. Company background
b. Comparative analysis of the factors (Political, Legal, Cultural, Economics) that
are taken into consideration (justification and evidence).
c. Conclusion and recommendation of the chosen country.
Note: A 10% interim marks will be awarded to the team. This marks is not final. It is simply a
snapshot of your work so far. The final grade will depend on the improvements you make to
your final report. Focus on incorporating the feedback you received in this review into your
final report.
● Document 1: Team Contract: This sets expectations and establishes ground rules for
the team, including roles and responsibilities, communication protocols, conflict
resolution strategies, and contribution expectations.
● Document 2: Meeting Minutes: Document key decisions, action items, and next steps
from each team meeting. Submit all meeting minutes in a single Word Document file
to be submitted with the final report.
● Document 3: Collaborative Document: Have a collaborative working document (eg:
Google document) to facilitate document creation and editing. Provide the URL link
with editing access to your tutor and Chief Examiner. Provide the link in the meeting
minutes document.
● Document 4: Contribution to the Learning Environment: Provide your screenshots of
evidence of contribution.
