You are the Administration/Project Officer for Grow Management


Consultants.
Your main duties as the Administration Officer include administering the
day-to-day activities of the office, including organising meetings and travel,
organising workshops and conferences, developing a range of business
documents, providing assistance and support to all senior managers and
answering a range of client enquiries.

Document 1
As the Administration/Project Officer, you have been given a new
responsibility: to design and write a monthly client newsletter to be sent to
all existing clients. The aim of the newsletter is to inform clients about
trends in leadership, plus a reminder of upcoming events and new products.
The Operation manager has advised you via email that:
Document purpose:
 Provide clients with up to date information
 Use of a newsletter as a marketing tool to inform clients about products
and services
 Use of newsletter as a value-adding tool to assist with branding
Content requirements:
First edition to include the following:
 Welcome to new newsletter
 Spotlight on leadership issues: this month Mindful Leadership
Each month the newsletter will include an interesting article about an aspect
of Leadership. The article should be headed with the title Leadership
Trends. The first edition of the newsletter is to be about Mindful Leadership.
Students are to write a paragraph summarising the key points from the
following article about mindful leadership and including the web link:

Upcoming events
The newsletter should include details of the upcoming Grow Management
Consultants Leadership Conference. Summarise the details provided in the
Conference Program.
Staff spotlight
Each month the newsletter will include a focus on a Grow Management
Consultants staff member. The purpose of this section of the newsletter is
to introduce staff members to clients. A photo of the staff member is
included as well as responses to the following questions:
Name
Position title
Key job responsibilities
What is your hidden talent? (this question is included as an “ice-breaker” to
give clients a fun insight into the employee’s talents that is outside the job
role).
For this first edition, the staff spotlight will be on the student as the
Administration Project Officer. They will need to take a photo of themselves
using a Smart Phone or iPad or similar device and import the photo onto
their computer then into the newsletter. They will also have to provide a
response to each of the questions above, each limited to 3 or 4 sentences.
Presentation requirements:
Refer to newsletter style guidelines in the Style Guide.
Timelines for production:
Within 5 days to ensure that the program can be sent out as early as
possible.

concerns about the number of incidents that have been occurring at work
involving staff sustaining injuries when lifting office supplies and equipment.
They would like you to produce information to be provided to staff on the
importance of safe manual handling procedures. You may produce the
document in the format that you consider would work best, and that the
information should be clear and easy to follow. It should also include
graphics to illustrate, for example, safe manual handling poses.
The safe manual handling procedure should include as a minimum:
 The importance of correct manual handling
 Statistics on safe manual handling incidents for Grow Management
Consultants for 2020 to emphasise the value of the procedures (there
were 5 incidents of injuries arising from manual handling. This
represents 50% of total workplace injuries).
 Preparing for manual handling
 Checking the load before lifting
 Moving into position and correct body posture
 Manual handling methods

Document 3
The Operations Manager has asked you to develop a welcome email for
conference participants outlining the program for the day that also builds
excitement for the conference. It will be sent out with the conference
program to all registered attendees.
