Q1. When creating session plan, the questions I asked myself are the objectives, audience, content, activities,
methodologies, time allotment, resources and assessment. For the Objective – what is the main goal of this session?
What do I want the trainees to learn or achieve, for Audience – who are the participants/trainees? What is their level of
knowledge or experience in this topic, For Content – what specific topics or information do I need to cover to meet the
session’s objective, for Activities – what activities or exercises can I incorporate to engage participants and reinforce
learning, for Time allotment - How much time should be allocated to each part of the session to ensure it runs smoothly,
for Resources – what materials or resources do I need to support the session, such as CBLM, handouts, tools and
equipment, for Assessment – How will I assess participants’ understanding or progress during the session.
Q2. To answer the questions I have in mind when creating session, I based it on the Competency-based Curriculum (CBC)
and Training regulation (TR).
Q3. The components of the session plan are sector, qualification title, unit of competency, module title, nominal
duration, learning outcomes, unit of competency introduction, learning activities, assessment plan and trainer’s self-
reflection of the session.
Q4. The factors that I considered in selecting my training methods are the characteristics of learners, current
competencies, training gaps, and training needs.
Q5. When organizing my learning events for my trainees, I utilized the CBC, Training regulation of the qualification,
following Robert Gagne’s Nine events of instruction.
Q6. The assessment I chose in my session plan are written test, performance test and portfolio. In conducting
assessment, in order to identify trainees’ competency, you as a trainer should use various assessment methods to
measure their knowledge, skills and values on what they have learned.
Q7. When preparing the assessment tools, to ensure its validity, I make sure that the questions I created are aligned
with the learning objectives and content covered in the training. I use variety of assessment methods such as multiple-
choice questions, true or false, identification, and performance assessment. The type of questions is categorized into
knowledge-based, skills-based and attitude-based. And to ensure cost-effectiveness, I consider the resources to develop,
administer, and evaluate the assessment tools, including time, materials, tools and equipment that reduce
administrative costs and unexpected/unnecessary expense
Q8. When preparing the written test, the table of specifications should be done first because the TOS contains the
content areas/topics, level of difficulty, cognitive level, percentage, and number of items that should be utilized in
creating the written test.
Q9. The two adult principles that is always on my mind when preparing session plan are when learning is made easier
when variety of training methods and techniques are utilized to meet the different characteristics and learning styles of
the students. And after the learning and assessment process, feedback is immediately provided for each trainee with a
positive and non-judgmental nature. The trainees will also provide feedback for the trainer to gain knowledge of how
he/she will revise her training methods.
