Abstract of Arduino Based Smart Parking
Abstract of Arduino Based Smart Parking
Problem Statement:
Urban areas face significant challenges in managing parking spaces, leading to congestion, wasted
time, and increased air pollution. The current parking systems lack real-time information, resulting
in drivers searching for available spots, causing frustration and inefficiencies.
Overview:
This project aims to design and implement an Arduino-based Smart Parking Management Solution,
leveraging sensors and displays to monitor parking space availability and guide drivers to free
spots. This innovative system enhances parking efficiency, reduces congestion, and improves the
overall driving experience.
Major Findings:
- Real-time monitoring of parking space availability
- Efficient guidance of drivers to free spots
- Reduced congestion and pollution
- Improved parking experience
Sub-Modules:
1. Parking Space Detection Module: Utilizes ultrasonic sensors to detect vehicles and determine
parking space availability.
2. Data Processing Module: Processes sensor data and updates the parking space status in real-time.
3. Display Module: Shows available parking spaces and guides drivers using LCD displays.
4. User Interface Module: Provides an intuitive interface for users to interact with the system.
This project demonstrates the potential of IoT-based solutions in addressing urban challenges, and
its implementation can have a significant impact on improving the quality of life in cities.
