Row 8 – How to make 5tr Bobble stitch

How to make tassels

For the purpose of this tutorial I used 2 contrasting colors to better show you how to make it.

1. Take a piece of cardboard approximately 5 cm wide (I used two bookmarks of the same size and put them together)
and start wrapping the yarn around it. Wrap it around 40 times. Cut the yarn.
2. Cut a piece of yarn approximately 20-25 cm long and pull it underneath all the cords.
3. Slide it to the top and tie a knot.
4. Slide the tassel off the cardboard (or bookmarks) and secure it with another knot. Try to tie it as tight as possible.
5. With sharp scissors cut through all the loops at the bottom of the tassel.

6. Take the same yarn and make a loop. (for the purpose of this tutorial I used a contrasting color)
7. Start to wrap the yarn around the neck.
8. When you reach desired width of the neck, cut the yarn and pull it through the loop.
9. Pull both ends of the thread simultaneously in opposite directions, until the knot disappears.
10. Cut off the ends. Trim the bottom of the tassel. Make 14 tassels.
