C-Arm Refurbishing Process
Each system is tested and report is generated to record the status of the system
components
System is dismantled and disinfected
Subassemblies are dismantled and disinfected
Corroded fasteners are replaced
System structural components are sanded with nicks, old labels, and dents
removed
Components are prepped and a primer coat is applied
Two coats of high quality polyurethane paint are applied. The paint is cured for
24 hours
A new rubber bumper, and chrome trim is applied
Components (switches, connectors, breakers, and fuses) are tested and
replaced as necessary
The imaging system is reassembled, adjusted, calibrated and burned in for 24
hours
The x-ray system is calibrated and the dose rate is set
The c-arms and monitor cart power supplies are checked and adjusted to OEM
specifications
The vertical column is checked, regreased, limit switches adjusted
Collimator: brushes checked and replaced as necessary. The bearings are
lubricated or replaced, and shutters are adjusted
C-arm bearings (cradle, flip flop, & horizontal slide) are lubricated and adjusted to
mate properly with the c-arm rail.
L-arm rotation bearings are adjusted and replaced as necessary
