The Regional Maritime University (RMU) is calling for applications into its newly introduced
Certificate in Customs Procedure and Documentation programme (with ICUMS)
commencing in March, 2023.
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
This 12-week hybrid classroom and internship-in-enterprise course offers a very detailed and
comprehensive look at the information that is required to be submitted to customs to enable goods
to be imported, exported, transited or transshipped within the Ghanaian jurisdiction. Participants
can expect to gain relevant or transshipped controlled goods, processing of permit and cargo
clearance. The process and requirements for preparing different types for online declarations to
GRA-Customs through ICUMS will be covered. Specialized procedures pertaining to temporary
imports and exports, as well as valuation methods will be reviewed. This course in customs
procedure and documentation is vitally important for importers, exporters and their agents, as well
as individuals and corporate entities interested in understanding the customs documentation
process.
