Executive Order No. 18

AN EXECUTIVE ORDER APPROVING THE RENEWAL OF APPOINTMENT OF BARANGAY


NUTRITION SCHOLAR OF BARANGAY DANAO, ORMOC CITY

WHEREAS, the Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS) plays a vital role in promoting nutritional well-being and health
education within the community;

WHEREAS, there is a need to formally appoint a qualified individual to serve as the Barangay Nutrition Scholar in
Barangay Danao, Ormoc City to ensure effective implementation of nutrition programs and initiatives;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, RICHARD P. IMPAS, Punong Barangay of Barangay Danao, Ormoc City, by virtue of
the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order the following:

SECTION 1. APPOINTMENT OF BARANGAY NUTRITION SCHOLAR


Mary Arlene Abad is hereby appointed as the Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS) of Barangay Danao, Ormoc City.

SECTION 2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


The appointed Barangay Nutrition Scholar shall have the following duties and responsibilities:

1. Implement and monitor nutrition programs and activities within Barangay Danao.
2. Conduct regular nutrition education sessions and counseling for residents.
3. Identify and provide assistance to malnourished children and at-risk individuals.
4. Collect and report data on the nutritional status of the community to relevant health authorities.
5. Promote proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle practices through community outreach and advocacy.

SECTION 3. SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE


The Barangay Council of Barangay Danao shall provide the necessary support and resources to the Barangay
Nutrition Scholar to ensure the effective performance of their duties, including but not limited to:
1. Provision of educational materials and equipment.
2. Facilitation of training and capacity-building activities.
3. Allocation of allowances and incentives as applicable.

SECTION 4. EFFECTIVITY
This Executive Order shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
