Note: there is no way to speed up the actual clock time required to complete this training; however, you
can reduce the amount of individual effort time you spend.
Option 1 (cheat code): use this option if you want to complete the training by only answering questions
(w/ assistance from others’ notes).
Option 2 (speed code): use this option if you want to cut the required individual effort time by 50% or
more but you want to answer the questions on your own.
For both option 1 and option 2, go to the first training link – https://uncw.edu/web-101 – Launch the
course, click play, set the sound to mute (NOTE: these SkillPort videos cannot be sped up or jumped
around in). Next, go here – https://uncw.edu/web-tutorials – to find links to videos that can be played
at 2x speed and accessed randomly. While the SkillPort video is grinding away, go do some other work;
note: video times are listed below if you want to set a timer.
When the video finishes, there will be questions about the content that you need to answer. SkillPort
will pause on these questions and await your input.
Option 1 – try to answer the questions, if answers are not obvious, look in the document below for help
with questions/answers
Option 2 – start playing the video at 2x speed and answer the question as the topic comes up (generally,
the content/questions are correspondingly in order).
WEB 101 NOTE: there is a document you need to download and in which you need to complete some
writing assignments. There is no easy way to speed this up, so part of the Option 2 technique will be
required no matter what for this course.
