 MEDHA MILAN - 2019

Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women is organizing the 14th National Student Symposium for women
“MEDHA MILAN 2019” on 27th & 28th September, 2019 for Under Graduate Engineering and MBA women
students on topics related to ECE, EEE, CSE, IT, ME, CE, MBA, and also Creative Gallery Events and Maths Fun
Activities.The aim of the Symposium is to provide an exposure to the recent developments in the frontier
areas of Engineering and Technology and to encourage them to pursue higher education and
research.Recent advances in Technology have brought a phenomenal change in the country’s development.
Progressing in the field of Technical Education, our two days National Symposium aims at opening new
avenues and focuses on facilitating students to explore new horizons of technical education.This is an
excellent platform to demonstrate recent innovations, scientific and application oriented results in different
branches of Engineering. This gathering, with multidimensional approach is a great opportunity for students
to share their proficiency and promote their research and industrial skills. Dr. V. Purushothama Raju HOD-
CSE acted as Convener for this program.

STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS

 Hackathon – 2019 was conducted by CSE department from 26.09.2019 to 28.09.2019. Smart Bridge
Educational Services Pvt. Ltd team organized this event in three days. Bootcampon two
Technologies Internet of Things with IBM Cloud and Artificial Intelligence and IBM Watson. Totally
119 students are participated in this programme from various engineering colleges. Finally SVECW
students K G Naga SaiPrabha, M. SantoshiSupriya, got first prize(prize money 4000/-).

 In Computer Science & Engineering Department from final year two students KODURU KAVYASRI
and KONJETY PUJITA selected for Service Now internship with stipend of Rs.25,000/- per month,
Three students TETALI SAADHYA REDDY, VYSHNAVI ADUSUMELLI and YEELI MANVITHA selected for
Open Text internship and BHAVANAM VASANTH selected for Host Analytics internship with stipend
of Rs.15,000/- per month.

 EVENTS
SWE CLUB

As a part of Society of Women Engineering Club, The students conducted a poster presentation
competition on "WOMEN ENGINEERING" on 21st December 2019, Saturday which was the first event of the
club. Sixty five students participated in this event. It was held in the Open Class Room of SVECW .Mr. P.
SrinivasaRaju, vice principal of SVECW was the chief guest for this event. Judges inspired the participants by
taking them through their journey as a women engineer and shared their views on the the present scenario
of women education and motivated the participants with their quotes "Be a Strong Minded Women ".
Coordinator for this event is T . Gayathri, Assistant Professor, CSE Department.

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering was established in the academic year 2001-02 with an
annual intake of 60. The intake was increased to 120 from the academic year 2006-07. The UG-CSE
Programme and PG-CSE Programme are accredited by NBA (National Board of Accreditation, AICTE, Delhi).
The department intake was increased to 180 from the academic year 2012-2013. The Department is
offering two M.Tech courses Computer Science & Engineering and Software Engineering.
The Department focuses on preparing the students for wide range of IT careers equipping them with
unique enriching experience of moulding tomorrow's technocrats with high calibre and commitment.
B.Tech in Computer Science includes study of various aspects of computer to meet the requirements of
the various industries. The course contains study of the basic computer sciences and its application, as well
as the detailed study of the various aspects of its working. The course of B.Tech in Computer Science trains
an individual in the fields related to computer and its industry.
