B. REFLECTION PAPER
Write a reflection paper that will answer the following questions:
 What are your first thoughts about the educational tour?
 How will you use what you’ve learned in culture and society?
History is a precious thing; this is the first thought that came into my mind on the way
home after the tour. History is filled with faces, and eyes, amongst a constant pitter-patter, and
dusty, delicate traces of memories. Our history is a living, breathing relic – constantly dancing
and molding a reflection of ourselves. It shows moments that are long gone yet seemingly alive
through the way we try to relive it by learning about it.

As humans, it is within our nature to feel emotions and have our passions, whether that is
in the form of love, hate, disgust, or joy. As rational beings, our minds are incredibly complex
and itched by ideas of the unknown. As thinkers, we react to uncertainty by asking questions.
Philosophers, artists, and scientists constantly write and create theories and ideas to find an
answer because we consider knowledge as value – and one thing is certain – history is a precious
thing in this case.

Over the brief seventeen years of my life, I know one thing for sure: history is a fickle
animal that depends on who writes the writings, and I hope whoever holds the pen chooses to
uphold the truth, I think I’ll hold this learning close to my heart, especially if ever I’m given the
chance for that opportunity. Remembering is a blessing that comes as a burden. The past, the
present, and rarely, the future, are all contained inside a three-pound organ. I can only know so
much. Time is constant and history is not static. It remains here: now, long, inescapable.
