Materials :
Unless noted otherwise the grade of various materials shall be as follows:
1. Lean concrete
02 Provide 100mm lean concrete of mix 1 : 4 : 8 (1 cement : 4 fine aggregate : 8 graded
coarse aggregate) underneath foundation raft / footing.
2. Concrete mix
Concreting shall be done in dry weather conditions and dry site conditions.
All structural concrete should be weigh batched, machine mixed & mechanically vibrated.

All reinforcing steel shall be of high strength deformed bars conforming to IS 1786.

All steel used for structural members and connections shall be of hot rolled mild steel of
weldable quality conforming to IS 2062.
Steel grade E250 shall be used with following mechancial properties:
Yield stress: fy = 250 N/mm2
Tensile strength: fu = 500 N/mm2
04 Minimum nominal cover:
Nominal cover to meet durability requirements and fire resistance requirements in
accordance with table 16 and table 16A of IS456:
Unless noted otherwise the nominal cover to all steel reinforcements shall be as follows:
