About the Course
The subject introduces students to contemporary perspectives in educational research, and in
particular focuses on developing a range of skills involved in formulating a research proposal;
including framing research questions, reviewing the literature and choosing appropriate
methodologies for different types of study. The ways in which researchers from different
research traditions use the different methods of collecting research data (for example, interview,
questionnaire and observation) will be included. This course is meant to familiarize students
with the different aspects of research as well as good scientific writing and proper presentation
skills.
Course Learning Objectives
 To get an awareness about research.
 To clarify the problem definition stage.
 To know about the research design and criterion of selecting samples.
 To identify different types of data and its sources
 To formulate a research report.
 To make students to be familiar with procedural aspects of research.
Course Outcomes
PO1 Fundamental Knowledge: Our graduates will demonstrate an understanding of the
fundamental principles and theoretical knowledge used in Research.
PO6 Research Practice: Our graduates will enhance the research culture and preserve
disciplinary credibility
PO3 Strategic Thinking: Our graduates will show strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
through research
Mapped PSO

PSO 1a: Developing professional research skills: To equip students with research-based
knowledge and methodologies to design, analyze and interpret data to find the solutions for
complex problems by applying the right tools.

PSO 2: Research Practices: To provide students with opportunities at the global level in
research publication by applying statistical tools.

PSO 1b : Developing research skills with global perspective & problem solving: To provide
students practical exposure in Research by applying Data Analysis to find solutions for complex
business problems.
