To elaborate on the above, as you keep typing continuously, inputting 'n' at the start of
words will always give ' ' only. But, if you move the cursor around and start typing at
some random point of your already-typed text, then 'n' may give ' ' only. In such cases,
you have to use 'nh'. Of course, you can opt to always use 'nh' itself at all times (at the
start or middle of words) so that you always get . It is your choice eventually, based on
your convenience.

Note: Actually, instead of 'x', you can use backquote character (`) also as the 'x' modifier,
in case you feel that backquote character (`) is more convenient than using 'x'. In order to
use backquote character, you need to specify it under the "ModifierCharacter" tag in the
really wish to use the backquote character (`) as your 'x' modifier, then, replace 'x' with '`'
under the "ModifierCharacter" tag. Apart from the the backquote character (`), you can
use the backslash character (\) too as the 'x' modifier. i.e. you can replace 'x' with '\' too
under the "ModifierCharacter" tag.
Personally, I use 'x' itself since I do not make use of 'x' to type ' '. But, if you are somone
very much availing 'x' to type ' ', then I suggest you use '\' or '`' as your 'x' modifier,
whichever you feel is more convenient to you.
The default list of 'x' modifiers (which can be modified by the user himself, at any time,
by editing the abovesaid "xmods-Tamil-Unicode-PhoneticTransliteration.txt" file) is as
follows:

NOTE-1: 'x' modifier is liberally used in the mappings of other Indic languages (Hindi,
Telugu, Malayalam, etc.) in Azhagi+. The same strategy I have used for Tamil also, in
Azhagi++. So, it is not anything new I am introducing. In fact, I have implemented this 'x'
modifier for Tamil transliteration in 2016 itself, but in Azhagi's Android App
(https://azhagi.com/aa.php). You can view Azhagi Android app's Tamil transliteration
Note-2: The above modifiers setup is not rigid. You can introduce your own modifiers
too. For e.g. you can introduce your new modifier line too. For e.g., "இ` = ஈ" can be your
own new modifier line. In other words, you can have the modifiers in this file in such a
Note-3: If you place an '#' at the start of a modifier line, that would mean that that

modifier will not be considered. So, there is no need to delete any existing modifier line in
Note-4: There is a great facility in Azhagi++ using which even while typing in Alt+4 mode,
you can still avail the flexibilities of the Alt+3 mode. Rather than me explaining this in
words and you trying to understand it, I suggest you watch the following videos for
getting perfect understanding. If doubts persist, you can always get them cleared quickly
by visiting contacts.php#100percent-free-support
For more useful info like above, please read the "Remarks" section in the 'x' modifiers file
Important NOTE: The above tables as well as the consolidated table hereunder give you
only a summary. For details on other "as-you-type" (dynamic) flexibilities in the key-
mappings, you SHOULD always refer to the various other 'Help' topics mentioned in this
same page. See sample words below, which will help you understand how flexible the
transliteration scheme is and how easy your transliteration experience will be because of
the same.

Tips - Typing in middle of words
There are 3 ways to type in the middle of words when the ' ' has to be generated
after a 'mey'. i.e. after b, f, g, j, k, l, m, r, v, w, x, y, ch, sh, dh, th, etc.
2. In case you wish# to keep the abovementioned option always ticked#, then to
generate நர ஹ or கம ஹாச
Either:
type narasimHan or kamalHaasan(i.e. use 'H' to generate ' ')
Or:
type narasimhhan or kamalhhaasan (i.e. type 'h' twice to generate ' ').
(#) please note that if you keep the abovementioned option ticked, you can easily type
names like bhairavar, khushboo, raghu, prabhu, jhaansi, etc. just as you are used to write
them (with the silent 'h' in them) rather than forced to write them as bairavar, kushboo,
ragu, prabu, jaansi, etc.
A recap of the salient key mappings below, so that you can use Azhagi+ at it's EASIEST
best, availing all the FLEXIBLE key mappings:
aum / Aum / OM

lx, rx, nx, lxx, rxx, nxx, llx, rrx, nnx, sx, shx, sxx (only in AAW (short for Azhagi's Addins for

, , , , , , , , , , , ऽ (avagraha)

shxivan = காைள, இைறவ , க , உ ள , க , க ண , உ ள , க , க ண ,
ஸாகர , வ
Note: The above facility is a unique feature amongst Indic apps, as of now. This facility
allows you to use the 'x' modifier feature of Azhagi and transliterate some oft-used
characters without using the shift key.

The display of alternate mappings to display any Tamil letter during "Mouse Hover" over any letter works
in all major browsers - Google Chrome, Firefox, MS Edge. The only thing is that you need to allow the
abovementioned page to load fully (it takes a minute or two sometimes). Perhaps because the page is
getting loaded from 'web.archive' now, it is taking time for the full page to load fully, I think. But, once the
page is loaded fully, the "mouse hover" works perfectly. See some examples of the same below.
