Sub tropical high pressure belt (300 N & 600 S)
Sub - polar low pressure belt (600 N & 600S) (3)
Polar high pressure belt (900N & 900S)
Factors
z Earth rotation
z Variation of Sun ray's (2)
The area where the sun rays are prependicular throughout
the year. The ail expands due to sun's heat and rises up on a
massive scale in this area. This is the reason for the low pressure
experienced throughout this zone (3)
Sub Tropical high pressure belt
Located at 300 latitude in both the hemisphere. The warm air rising
from the equatorial low pressure belt. This air gradually cools and
drops to 300 latitudes due to the earth's rotation.
Sub Polar low pressure belt
Located at 600 latitudes in both hemispheres. As this zone is
close to the pole, the air colder here. The air in this zone
thrown away due to the rotation of the earth.
