stores historical and current data, which are utilized to report and analyze data. Azure SQL Data
Warehouse is a data warehouse based on the cloud; it helps create and deliver a data warehouse
(How, 2020). Azure Data Warehouse processes enormous bundles of data that are relational or
non-relational. On top of offering a platform for cloud computing, it also provides a SQL data
warehouse.
Data periodically mined from different sources containing essential business information
is moved into the warehouse. Data movement allows for data formatting, cleaning, validation,
summarizing, and reorganization. On the other hand, the said data can be warehoused in the
lowest level details, with accumulated views provided in the warehouse reporting. In both cases,
it stores data permanently in a data warehouse that you can use for analysis, reporting, and
business intelligence.
Microsoft azure warehouse data finds its use when turning vast amounts of data from all
operational systems into an easy-to-understand format. This data warehouse doesn’t necessarily
follow a concise data structure like OLTP databases (Hayardisi, 2018). A data warehouse is also
used for keeping historical data away from systems of source transactions, usually for
performance purposes. Consequently, warehouses access historical data quickly from multiple
sites since it provides a central setting using standard keys, formats, and data patterns.
