SCREEN PET GAME
Synopsis

Introduction:
The Screen Pet game is an event-based program, which means the functions it performs
and the order in which it performs all functions is dependent on user input. In such
programs, user input can take any form, such as key presses ]and mouse clicks. In such
programs ,user input can take any form ,such as key presses as a sub –class of life
simulation game.

Below are the three features that our screen pet will perform:

Sad Face . Cheeky Face . Happy Face.

1. Happy Face: When you will click on it with the mouse the screen pet will
blush and it will look happy.

2. Cheeky Face: If you double-click it, then it will show its tongue to you.

3. Sad Face: If you ignore it then it will become sad and the point where you
click then it will become happy again.
FEASIBILTYSTUDY:

The main aim of this thesis is to study a creative process to develop a successful game for
children. This means using a creative model to achieve something new that has the target
audience interests in focus. In this thesis, creative scenarios for a game will be created along
withprototypestoexperimenttheideas.Thisexperiencewillbetogetsomekindoffeedback from the
actual users to see if the ideas could be of interest. The experience will not give a complete
picture of the user’s opinion of the ideas. When the concept prototypes are experimented,
output will be discussed for the final game.

The game should also encourage this specific user to interact with the game and have a
limitedamountofgraphicalelements.Ibelievedthatagamewiththepossibilitytobeplayed by two
users could be stimulating for the child. I also believed that the emotional and social factors
of the game should be maximized.

METHODOLOGY:
Researchtargetaudience:Inthissteparesearchofthetargetaudienceismadetoensure that an
understanding of the special conditions and needs of children. The main target audience
isbelow14yearsofage.The goal istomake agenerallyfungamethatcould be exciting for the
entire group. Both boys and girls are within the target audience.

Researchthemarket: In this step a research of the market of existing games for children.
Thisstepwillprovideknowledgeofwhatkindofgamesexistsandtheprosandconsofthese games.

Createpersona:This step is foundation on which the ideas are spawned from.The persona
isafictionalpersonwhichhasthecharacteristicsoftheusersofthegame.Thepersonaisset into a
scenario.

Spawnideas: In this step ideas are spawned with minimum amount of demands.Trying to
createideasthataresupposedtofulfilallthedemandsishardandcanleadtostiffthinking. The ideas
are spawned when trying to think from the personas perspective.

Realitycheck:At this stage a large amount of rough ideas have been created and the ideas
have to be evaluated.Areality check is made by examining if the ideas are feasible,
innovative,funandwithintheframesofthedemandsfromtheusersandthecompany.Ideas
thatdon’tfitarediscarded.Iftheideasarediscardedorquestionable,astepbackinthe process
is made to the Spawn ideas stage.

To study a creative process to develop a successful game for children with cognitive
impairments.. To meet the needs of people with cognitive impairment and severely
physically impaired, a simple and flexible electronic unit is often used to control
computers.Thisunitiscalledacontactboxandispluggedintothecomputer.Switchesof
differentkindscanthenbepluggedintotheunit.Examplesofdifferentswitchesarepush, squeeze
and puff.
