In line with the Division Memorandum no, 121 s.2024, About Proclamation No, 227 s.
1988, “Declaring the Month of March as ‘Women’s Role in History Month’” all
schools join the observance of the 2024 National Women’s Month from March 1 to
30, 2024 with the theme: “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas: Kakayahan ng
Kababaihan, Patutunayan!” This is to inform your good office to seek for your
approval of my activity proposal as part of the women’s month celebration here in
our school on March 21, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., I’m hoping your
approval.

All grade 4 to grade 6 students
All non-teaching personnel
V. RATIONALE:
March is celebrated as National Women's Month in various countries
worldwide to observe International Women's Day. The National Women's
Month Celebration in 2024 will continue to focus on the recurring theme "WE
for gender equality and inclusive society" introduced in 2023. This theme aims
to renew our commitment to advocating for gender equality and building an
inclusive society. The 2016-2022 theme "WE Make CHANGE Work for
Women" emphasized the significance of establishing compassionate and
harmonious networks to promote gender equality and women's empowerment.
Building on the achievements and progress made under the previous theme,
the 2024 National Women's Month Celebration will strive to further enhance
the efforts towards achieving gender equality and empowering women.

The following issuances serve as legal bases for the annual activity.

 Proclamation No. 224 s.1988, Declaring the First Week of March of


Every Year as Women’s Week and March 8, 1988, and Every Year after
that as Women’s Rights and International Peace Day.”
 Proclamation No, 227 s. 1988, “Providing for the observance of March
as ‘Women’s Role in History Month’”
 R.A. 6949 s. 1990, “An Act to Declare March Eight of Every Year as a
Working Special Holiday to be Known as National Women’s Day”
