PROBLEM STATEMENT
Their are more than 1 Billion book readers in the world and they all
face a similar kind of a problem that is Which book they should read ?
Are they Going to like it? Is it according to their interest?
Overwhelming Choice: Their exists a wide variety of genre available and in a particular genre
their also exists different types of writings from different authors leading confusion to the
reader which one to choose from as actually the book belongs to his/her linking or not
Uncertainty about Quality: Readers may be hesitant to purchase a book if they are not sure
about its quality or if it will meet their expectations.
Time-Consuming Search: Manually searching for books can be time-consuming and tedious,
especially if the reader is not sure what they are looking for.
Competition in market
Goodreads : Goodreads is a popular book recommendation platform that provides
personalized book recommendations to users based on their reading history and preferences
Google Books: Google Books is an online platform for searching and previewing books. The
platform provides personalized recommendations based on users' reading history and
preferences.
Barnes & Noble: Barnes & Noble is a popular online bookstore that offers a personalized
recommendation system to help users discover new books based on their reading history and
preferences
Methodology
Our content-based recommendation model uses the cosine similarity score to
measure the similarity between books based on their feature vectors. The feature
vectors can include book attributes such as genre, author, publisher, and
description.
We can get this result by computing the cosine similarity score, The cosine
similarity score is computed by taking the dot product of two feature vectors and
dividing it by the product of their magnitudes. Compute the similarity matrix
between the items using the cosine similarity measure. The cosine similarity
measures the angle between two vectors in a high-dimensional space, and it ranges
from -1 to 1. The closer the cosine similarity score is to 1, the more similar the items
are

Splash-Screen - On opening the app , the first screen that appears in front of the user will be the
Splash screen.
The Login Page - The Login Page comes after the Splash Screen page if the user is not logged into
and if they are logged in then they are redirected to the home page.
The Onboarding Page - The Onboarding screen comes only once when the user runs the app for the
very first time and every other time the user is directed to the Home page.
The Home Page - The Homepage comes after the onboarding page where the user can explore
multiple books of their likings.

The Trending page - User can navigate to the Trending page where they will be shown the Top-20
book according to their rating
The Search - User can go to the Search Page to search for the book of their choice and they will be
getting recommendations according to the book they search for.
The Wishlist Page - User can see the books they wishlisted on this page.
The Details Page : Users can tap on the book on the screen and they will navigate to the page
containing the details of the book such as the title , author , review , rating and the description of
the book with the book itself.
