in every lesson in class.

ACTIVITY 2: In a three- paragraph essay, explain the cognitive, metacognitive,

motivation and affective factors of psychological learner-centered principle of learning in
your own words. Cite at least two classroom situations that apply two principles of these
factors. (5 pts.)

- When we say cognitive factors it refers to the characteristics of a person that affects
performance, learning and mental processes that involve cognitive functions like
attention, memory, and reasoning by learners it is undergo as they process the
information, and it usually involved in gaining knowledge and comprehension. These
process include thinking, knowing, remembering, judging and problem solving. And
when we say metacognitive factors it refers to the strategies students use to learn and
their reflections about their thought processes higher order of thinking that involve active
control over the thinking processes involved in learning and make correction in their
learning. Meanwhile Motivational factors is the domain refers to students' effort and
engagement while learning it is the process that include motivation influence their
learning experience, and how the learners push themselves to learn and how they put
value in learning, And when we say Affective factors it relates to the emotional states,
beliefs, attitude, fellings and interests that influence learning that learners put into the
learning task.

The psychological learner centered principles of learning that affects cognitive,

metacognitive, motivational and affective is that it tend in “learner-centered” as always
consulting the understanding of the student throughout all the learning activities. It
provides engaging the student understands and ability to create personal uses for the
knowledge, and to apply the knowledge, while preserving and increasing their self-
determinism.

*In classroom, Learning is influenced by social interactions, interpersonal relations, and

communication with others. It Allow for interactive and collaborative instructional
contexts to provide individuals an opportunity for perspective taking and reflective
thinking that may lead to higher levels of cognitive, social and moral development, as
well as self-esteem. It encourages students to reflect on a course experience and
organize their thoughts and it can be a helpful tool for getting students to organize their
thoughts, and promote reflection and metacognition through socializing.
*Classroom practices makes successful learner, over time and with support and
instructional guidance, can create meaningful, coherent representations of knowledge.
The strategic nature of learning requires students to be goal directed. Students must
generate and pursue personally relevant goals. Create meaningful student learning
goals consistent with their personal and educational aspirations and interests. This
activity provides an easy way to check for understanding and gauge student interest. It
is also an effective way to promote discuss or review material.

ACTIVITY 3: A. CHALLENGE
1. Variety is a spice of life.” How is this statement applicable in the selection of
instructional strategies, motivational strategies and affective strategies? (5 pts.)

>In instructional strategies we have to adopt a variety of strategies to enhance students

capabilities in adopting lesson. Students should learn to do new and different things in
life to enjoy and lead a successful life! learn to adjust to situations don’t just do one
thing or don’t always restrict yourself to one thing or habit instead do many things
(variety of things) for example, as a student who likes making noise learn to keep quiet
for some time during the day. It annoys that some people cannot adjust to situations for
example some students cannot keep quiet for some minutes even while in class or in
lectures they keep and engage in noise making.

2. “This subject is my waterloo” - a statement most learners attribute to subjects they

find difficult. If you were the teacher, what motivation and affective strategies would you
use to alter this perception and attitude? (5 pts.)

- Motivates student to focused goal oriented, let their interest and fellings motivates
them to focus on their goal. The best thing should the teacher can do is to give a
minutes of a break to energised to give them enlightenment and motivate them to have
a good mood. added to this let them know that successful learners are active, goal-
oriented, self-regulating, and assume personal responsibility for contributing to their own
learning. So as a teachers use techniques that aid students in constructing meaning
from information, experiences, and their own thought and beliefs, and let them know
that don't make things complicated.

B. HARNESS

ACTIVITY 4: In a capsule, summarize your learning on this lesson. (10 pts.)

- I learned the true value of teacher wherein teachers play a significant role in guiding their
learners to become active, goal-directed, and self-regulating, and to assume personal
responsibility for their learning. The learning activities andopportunities provided by the
teacher are very important situations where learners can integrate knowledge and concepts to
their experiences. So, In this lesson learner-centered psychological principles is it plays a very
important role in understanding the teaching and learning process. Especially for the teachers
we have to know what factors does students needed to excell in order for us to get strategies in
helping them it is made for the development of the learners. That's why Manny innovations of
the learning process has been made possible because of the contribution of psychological
principles. So the psychological principles associates with cognitive, metacognitive, motivational
and affective factors and both of these are helpful in teaching and learning process. It tend in
“learner-centered” as always consulting the understanding of the student throughout all the
learning activities. It provides engaging the student understands and ability to create personal
uses for the knowledge, and to apply the knowledge, while preserving and increasing their self-
determinism. Also i realized the importance value of classroom where it is a place where
diversity is appreciated and respected. It is never a place where learners are discriminated upon
or ridiculed because of their unique way of life, social background, beliefs, value systems, and
traditions. To sum up these factors are very important in teaching learning process, it is the
inter connection of both thinking and application of what you have learned it usually focused
learners centered with the help strategies uses by teachers.
