    Series of 2023

    “AN EXECUTIVE ORDER ORGANIZING THE BARANGAY PEACEKEEPING


    ACTION TEAM (BPAT) OF BARANGAY COMUNAL, LILOY, ZAMBOANGA DEL
    NORTE.”

    WHEREAS, the Barangay Peace Keeping Action Team (BPAT) functions solely for
    community based activities, information campaign in support to PNP’s anti-criminality effort,
    crime prevention and on the spot conflict resolution;

    WHEREAS, BPAT serves as the PNP’s implementing arm in ensuring the effective
    prevention, control and suppression of crimes as well as in the efficient management of disasters
    and emergencies; conceived to address concerns on peace, order safety in the grassroots level,
    the barangay;

    WHEREAS, BPAT contributes to the attainment of the mission and objectives of the
    PNP and created as primary operators to conduct community-oriented policing and public safety
    system.

    WHEREAS, EO 773 provides that it is incumbent upon the PNP to enhance its
    operational procedures on community safety and security system in order to address criminality,
    ISO and terrorism problems by establishing Neighborhood Support Groups (NSG) through
    BPAT.

    NOW THEREFORE, I, Rigoberto O. Isip Jr., Punong Barangay of Comunal, Liloy,


    Zamboangadel Norte by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby create/organize the
    BPAT.

    Section 1. COMPOSITION OF BPAT

    Section 2. FUNCTIONS
    1. Organize and mobilize various sectors in support of the maintenance of peace and order
    and safety.
    2. Conduct crisis management, disaster mitigation, search and rescue, and relief operations
    within the community.
    3. Strengthen and support the barangay justice system (Katarungang Pambarangay).
    4. Conduct crime prevention and deterrence measure to protect the vulnerable sector in the
    community.

    Section 3. EFFECTIVITY

    This order shall take effect immediately.

    Done this 25th day of June, 2024 at Barangay Comunal, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte,
    Philippines.
