ABSTRACT
This project-based learning initiative introduces AI-based elevator systems to college campuses.
The project's focus is on improving elevator efficiency, safety, and promoting experiential learning
among students. Through real-time data analysis, predictive algorithms, enhanced safety features,
and user-friendly interfaces, this project aims to optimize elevator operations, reduce waiting times,
and enhance accessibility. The Smart Campus AI-Based Lifts project has the potential to transform
college campuses into safer and more efficient spaces while equipping students with valuable AI
and engineering skills for the future.

In the fast-evolving landscape of smart campuses, our project aims to implement an AI-based lift
system to enhance the efficiency, safety, and user experience of vertical transportation within college
facilities. This innovative solution will leverage artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to optimize
elevator operations, minimize wait times, improve accessibility, and reduce energy consumption.
a. Optimized User Experience: Our AI-based lift system will reduce wait times and provide a
smoother and more efficient ride for students, faculty, and staff. Users will benefit from reduced
congestion, shorter wait times, and a more pleasant overall experience.
b. Energy Efficiency: The system will analyze usage patterns and adapt elevator operations to reduce
energy consumption during non-peak hours, contributing to the college's sustainability goals.
c. Predictive Maintenance: Utilizing AI, the system will predict maintenance needs and schedule
repairs in advance, reducing downtime and ensuring the elevators remain in optimal working
condition.
d. Accessibility: The AI-based system will prioritize elevator access for individuals a with
disabilities and those in need, ensuring inclusivity on campus.
