Roles and Responsibilities of Subject/Area Coordinator/Focal Person

Here are some but not limited roles and responsibilities of school coordinator/focal person

1. Coordinate the national, regional, division, district and school policies, programs and
projects and special concerns regarding the subject/area
2. Attend meetings/trainings/seminars regarding the subject and deliver information to
the school community and other concerns
3. Collect, consolidate and submit as well as keep the reports which include but not
limited to diagnostic tests, quarterly tests, achievement test and their interpretations
about the subject/area
4. Formulate an action plan which embodies the club’s objectives and way of achieving
it through activities aligned with the national, local and school plans.
5. Lead the research, innovation, fund sourcing, and continuous improvement of
performance such as in MPS/Overall grade improvement and contest winnings
6. Serve as the adviser of the organization/club of the area
As an adviser he/she should:
1. Mobilize the club i.e campaign, structuring, organizing and resourcing
2. Schedule the programs/projects/activities with the members and coordinate
in the office of the school head for approval
3. Monitor, evaluate and provide feedback about the club performance
7. Monitor, evaluate and provide feedback about school performance in the area
8. Make an accomplishment report about the subject.
9. Focal person will be the specific activity keyplayer. Together with the school head
they will spearheaded the specific tasks required by identified activities such as
Brigada Eskwela, OBE, Early Registration, Enrolment, GAD, Senior Citizen, RPMS
and other specific and within short-span activities.
