Past of speech

What is English?
English is a kind of language or English is an international language.

Word ( शब्द ):- Combination of latter which makes a complete sense is called a word.

Ex:-Book, Pen, Cow, Good etc.

GRAMMAR
G → Growth ( विकास )

R → Real ( वास्तविक )

A → Attitude

M → Man

M → Mind

A → Ample

R → Range ()

English Grammar:-English grammar is a kind of art which makes us learn how to


read, write and speak currant English. Or English grammar is a us know reading,
writing and speaking good English.

There are five kinds of English Grammar.


i. Orthography
ii. Etymology
iii. Syntax
iv. Punctuation
v. Prosody
 All the English words are divided into eight groups according to their words in
sentence which are known as past of speech.

1. Noun ( संज्ञा ):- Noun is the name of anything.

Ex:-Earth, India, Bihar etc.

 Ramesh(Noun) is running.

2. Pronoun ( सर्वनाम ):- A pronoun is a word which comes instead of a noun.

Ex:-I, We, He, She, It, The

 He(Pronoun) is running.

3. Adjective ( विशेषण ):- An adjective is a word which comes before an noun or


pronoun and it qualifies the noun or pronoun is a sentences.

Ex:-Good, Beautiful, Honest etc.

 Ramesh is a good(Adjective) boy.
 She is a beautiful(Adjective) girl.

4. Verb Verbum ( क्रिया ):- A verb is a word which shawls and action state being.
Ex:-Go, Come, Read and Write etc.

There are two types of verb

I. Principal/full/Main Verb
II. Auxiliary/Helping/Supporting Verb

I. Principal Verb:- Those verb which compete their meanings by themselves are called
principal verb.

Ex:- I read, you go, we run etc.

There are two kinds of main verb.

a. Transitive verb (सकर्मक क्रिया)


b. Intransitive verb (अकर्मक क्रिया)

a. Transitive verb (सकर्मक क्रिया):- जिस verb के तुरंत बाद object आता हो, वे verb
transitive verb रहता है।

Ex:- I eat(t.v) a mango.

He write(t.v) a latter.

b. Intransitive verb (अकर्मक क्रिया):- जिस verb के तुरंत बाद object नहीं आता हो, वे verb
intransitive रहता है।

Ex:- I go(i.v) to market.

They went(i.v) to Delhi.

II. Auxiliary:- Those verb which do not complete their meanings by themselves for the
completion of their meanings depend are called auxiliary verb.

Ex:- Can, May, Might, Shall, Will, Should etc.

5. Adverb Add+Verb (क्रियावि षणशे An adverb is a word which qualified a
verb adjective or another adverb in sentence.

Ex:-Ramesh is run fast(Adverb).

She is very(Adverb) beautiful.

6. Preposition ( सम्बन्ध बोधक अव्‍यय ):-A preposition is a word comes before a noun
or pronoun to so its relation which another word in a sentence.

Ex:-I am going to(Preposition) Delhi.

Ram is coming from(Preposition) Patna.

About → के बारे में, के विषय में, लगभग

Above → से ऊपर

Across → के पर, आर-पार, उस-पार

Among → के बिच में (दो से अधिक के लिए)

After → के बाद, के पीछे

At → मे, पर

Against → के विरुद्र

Behind → के पीछे

Besides → के बगल में

Beside → के छोड़कर, के अलावा, के अतिरिक्त

But → के छोड़कर, के वाय

Before → के पहले, के सामने

By → के द्वारा

Between → के बिच मे (दो के लिए)

Beneath → के निचे

Beyond → के बहार/से बहार

For → के बहार/से बहार

Since → से

In → मे

Into → में

On → पर

Upon → पर

To words → की ओर
