(a) Make a diary entry of the following (any TWO) :
i. You recently visited the 24th Crafts Mela at Sadar, Nagpur. It was Mini India
assembled at one place. Make a diary entry of what you saw and experienced
there.
ii. You spent 1 Month Summer Vacation at your maternal uncle’s home in a village.
Write your experience of life in a village as a diary entry.
iii. You watched the final cricket match of the World Cup 2023. Express your feelings
of the same in diary.

(b) Read the following passage and answer the given questions :

As you know, a great many people in India cannot read or write.


They are illiterate. This is not their fault. They have never had the chance to
learn to read. But we know, that our country cannot progress as it should do if
the majority of the people are ignorant and uneducated. If we are to be the best
kind of citizen we must be educated. We must at least be able to read books
and newspapers and magazines. Now those of us, who have had the chance to
go to school and to be educated, have been given something of which many of
our neighbours have been deprived. They need our help. In this matter we are
in position to help them, if we are willing to do so. We should show our
neighbourliness if we find our next door neighbour lying at the side of the
road unable to move because he had broken his leg, similarly, we should show
our neighbourliness when we find him unable to make progress because he
cannot read.
