GUIDELINES
1. The contest will be held on 16th May 2024. It will commence at 9:00 am sharp. The
reporting time for participants is 8:30am at Ridge Valley School, Gurugram.
2. The school code and badges for the participants will be given at the time of desk
registration.
3. The contest is open to students from Classes IX to XII from the invited schools.
4. Each school can send a team of two participants.
5. Each speaker will be given three minutes to speak (the warning bell will ring at 2 mins
30 seconds).
6. The topics will be drawn by lots and will revolve around current issues of national and
international importance. However, if the participant does not like the first topic drawn,
he or she will be given the prerogative to a second draw and in that case he/she will not
be allowed to speak on the first topic.
7. The speakers will be given 45 minutes before the scheduled time to prepare their points
for which the school Wi-Fi password will be provided to access the internet. During this
time, they may seek the guidance of their teacher if they so desire. Participants shall
memorise their pieces and present the same.
8. A panel of educationists will judge the speakers. Participants will be evaluated based on
content, delivery, and overall presentation by the panel of our esteemed judges. Upon
submission of the results by them, the decision shall be considered final and irrevocable.
9. A trophy will be awarded to the winning team comprising two students. Students
securing the First, Second and Third Positions will be awarded individual prizes.
10. Details of the speakers must be filled using the Registration link and submitted latest
by Friday, 3rd May 2024.
