a university that is world-renowned for its academics. Led by Senior Associate Athletics Director Dr. Bob Baker, the Office
of Student-Athlete Development is committed to helping all Ole Miss student-athletes achieve academic success. Baker is
assisted by 15 full-time members of the department along with numerous tutors and academic mentors.
Ole Miss Basketball had two Rebels represented on the SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll last year. With Ole Miss Athletics
taking its place among the best in the nation, the Student-Athlete Development staff hopes that Ole Miss graduates of today
have a great impact in the future of tomorrow.

Ole Miss defeats LSU 113-112 in overtime in perhaps
the greatest one-on-one duel in Southeastern
Conference history. LSU's Chris Jackson tallied 55 points,
while the Rebels' Gerald Glass hit for 53. The 108 com-
bined points is the most by two players in an SEC game.
More importantly, Glass led Ole Miss to victory in dra-
matic fashion. With seven minutes left in overtime, Glass
had 47 points, but had missed seven straight shots
while going scoreless for the final four minutes of regu-
lation and the first three minutes of overtime. LSU led
110-107, and Glass had been pestered by four different

In their first home game of the 2019 calendar year, the
Rebels opened up The Pavilion at Ole Miss in style with
a 74-66 win over Alabama. Ole Miss protected its new
floor by winning seven of the final nine home games of
the season.
2018-19
Predicted to finish dead last in the SEC in the preseason
polls, the Rebels exceeded expectations by finishing
sixth in the conference and earning a trip back to the
NCAA Tournament behind the highest scoring duo in the
SEC (Breein Tyree, Terence Davis). In his first season as
Ole Miss head coach, Kermit Davis is named SEC Coach
of the Year.
