Let me begin by expressing my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Thabo Pitse and

the EBL Institute of Business and Technology team for granting me this
incredible opportunity. Over the years, I have witnessed firsthand the
transformative impact that the institute has had on countless lives. Each
year brings forth a wave of positive change, empowerment, and personal
growth that is truly inspiring to behold.

Congratulations to you all for taking the first step towards a journey of growth, learning and success in the Digital Skills
for Digital Jobs program! Your decision to embark on this path reflects your courage, determination, and commitment
to personal and professional growth.
Reflecting on my journey in the program, I vividly recall the mix of excitement and uncertainty that accompanied those
early days. However, amidst all the anticipation, one thing remained clear: my determination to excel and emerge at the
pinnacle of success. I embarked on this journey with only a basic understanding of the Digital landscape, but each
learning module, challenge and masterclass became an avenue for me to conduct research, delve deeper and relate
these insights to my personal growth journey.
Last year marked one of the most challenging periods of my life. Amidst the learning and growth, I faced personal
tragedies that shook me to the core. There were moments of doubt and questioning, wondering how I would navigate
through such adversity and whether completing the program was feasible. Looking back, I often find myself reflecting
and marveling at how I managed to overcome those hurdles, especially in the face of profound loss. Despite these
challenges and doubts, I was driven by a relentless desire to achieve my goals and make the most of the opportunities
presented. I persevered! I pushed forward!
My message to you, class of 2024 is this: The journey ahead is not easy, but it's really about what you make of it.
Embrace the challenges, for they are the stepping stones to greatness. When doubt creeps in, remember your inner
strength and the reasons why you embarked on this journey in the first place. Surround yourself with support, seek
guidance when needed, and never underestimate the power of perseverance and resilience. Apply yourself to the
fullest, be open minded, stay focused and learn in such a way that you get to apply the knowledge in your everyday life.
I am excited to witness your growth, achievements, and contributions as you navigate through this program. Your life is
about to change! Here's to another year of resilience, perseverance, and success
