List of functions

1 LIST OF FUNCTIONS
The control system consists of 3 types of modules,
the control system (U1) placed in the cabin as well as
shaft modules (U3) placed at every landing and one
U5 module (or optional ext U6) is connected between
the U1 and U3 modules.

The software is the same for Aritco 7000 as for 6000,

and 4000. That is, the cards can be exchanged be-
tween them, (check the DIP-switches).

The shaft-modules (U3) all has the same software

and does not require setting; they just has to be
plugged in.

There are a number of features available.

• Error memory. See page 31.
• Floor locking (school locking). See Table 2 U3
connectors.
• Battery supervision
• Emergency lighting supervision. See page 31.
• Automatic lubrication of screw (option). Adjustable,
see Ch.9 DIP-switch settings.
• Fire drive. See Ch. 9 DIP-switch settings.
• Arrival signal On/Off. See Ch. 9 DIP-switch
settings.
• Call delay 2.5/5.0 seconds. See Ch. 9 DIP-switch
settings.
• Automatic cabin light off. See Ch. 9 DIP-switch
settings.
• Send cabin from landing:
• Open door and press the number of the landing
you want to send the cabin to for at least 3 sec-
onds. Step outside, close the door and push the
call button – the lift will go to the landing you
selected
• Backup power for emergency hold-to-run-lowering
down to the nearest landing and keeping S3 (RM,
Retiring ramp) locked when landing is school
locked.
• Emergency lowering is executed by pressing any
cabin destination button. See page 13.
• Call buttons with error indication from the error
memory.
• A landing indicator (option) can display Run time
and Number of starts. See page 23.
• Call button light is red or green.

A red light indicates an occupied mode and the lift

will not respond.

The lift is occupied when:

• the lift cabin is in motion.
• a door is open.

Power off

4 POWER OFF
When a Power down is required for more than 1 hour, make sure that fuses E2 and E3 are switched off.

Otherwise the battery will be discharged and may get damaged. A fully-charged battery supplies the system
with power for up to 7 hours.

Only use Lead-acid batteries with a 3,2 – 3.4 Ah capacity if the battery must be replaced.

Battery test.

There is a check every minute that the battery is present and has a sufficient voltage.

The battery is also tested once a month by turning on the emergency light for 2,5 hours while the power con-
sumption is measured.

Stop switch

5 STOP SWITCH
The stop switches consists of 3 bi-stable switches, 1 (b31), X (b33) and TOP(b36). Switch X is only used
when the lift has more than 2 landings, if there are only two landings there shall be a jumper plug in connec-
tor 2 on U1 PCB.

The figure to the left shows the placement of the magnets in the shaft.

The distance between the sensor and the magnet should be 15-20 mm to assure correct functionality. If the
distance it too small, a double-click may result in the sensor.

12 ERROR MEMORY
The Error memory can show 24 types of errors. The error messages can be viewed by a quick push on the
button (2) beside the Err-indicator at the U1 PCB..

The error message (one of 24 possible) is shown by a control LED 1-6 (1) in four different levels 1–4.

Reset the Error Memory completely by holding the button (2) down for 3 s. Errors indicated are reset auto-
matically 7 days after the latest event has occurred.

Level 1

When the button (2) is pressed the first time the Err-LED will lit continuously and the control LED 1-6 indi-
cates the following error:

LED indicator Error message Possible cause

LED 1 Door or safety switch open during run • Door connector

• Safety circuit switches, platform or shaft

LED 2 Lock switch open during run • Retiring ramp hits the locking arm

LED 3 Stop magnet switch 1 double click • Stop magnet too close to the sensor
