Product Intern Assignment

This assignment is designed to assess your product sense, product mindset, and

understanding of SaaS (Software as a Service) concepts. It consists of two sections:

• Section 1 will be evaluated based on the depth and creativity of your answers,

demonstrating your understanding of user needs and strategic product thinking.

• Section 2 will be graded based on the accuracy of your answers.

Section 1: Product Management Perspective

This section evaluates your ability to think strategically about a product and its users.

1. Which is your favorite product and why?

2. What specific features or functionalities do you like the most of it?

3. How does it compare to similar products in the market?

4. Is there anything you would improve about this product, If yes what are those?

Section 2: Case study

Problem Statement:

You are a product intern tasked with helping launch a bike subscription service in India.

The aim is to provide urban dwellers with a flexible, affordable, and sustainable alternative

to traditional bike ownership.

Situation:

Urbanization in India has led to increased traffic congestion and pollution, prompting a

shift towards sustainable transport solutions. Many individuals seek cost-effective

mobility options without the burden of owning a bike outright.


Assumption:

Current market offerings for bike ownership may not cater to the needs of urban

professionals and students who prefer convenience and affordability over ownership.

Tasks:
• Research the current trends, identify key competitors in the bike-sharing industry

• List down any challenges that will need to be addressed

• Develop customer personas to target

• Design customer journey process flow

• List down key features of product

Deliverables:
• A document covering the outcome of tasks mentioned above.
