Tools For Pattern Design
I USE IN MY MILLION
DOLLAR DESIGN BIZ
4 PANS: I use lots of different types of pans at home, but THIS ONE WOULD
BE MY MOST USED
5 INSTAGRAM: My go-to social media platform is the Instagram App! It’s where I love to share my
work and connect with other artists and new clients.
6 PLANOLY: I use Planoly to plan out my social media feed. I use it sporadically week to week and
when I want to see what my feed is looking like as a whole.
7 AUDIBLE: I’m a bit audio book junkie! I love holding a physical book, buttttt insert kiddos and that
just doesn’t happen anymore. So audio books in the car or while walking is sooo good!
8 KAJABI: So we’re talking about the Kajabi App here. It’s amazing for allll the courses I have purchased
over the years. They are all housed within this app and I can access the courses from my phone, yay!
9 TEACHABLE: Again, a few courses I have bought in the past are on Teachable and it’s so hand to
have the courses right there on my phone!
10 VOXER: Voxer is like a walkie talkie and you can chat so easily with your friends or coach. I love it
for the flexibility of being able to communicate on your terms.
11 TELEGRAM: I’m a newbie to Telegram, but it’s been such an amazing way to connect with like
minded humans in specific groups. Turn the notifications off though, they get kind of annoying, ha!
12 PINTEREST: Ummm well goes without saying, am I right. Love a good moodboard sesh.
13 LIGHTROOM: My saviour for editing all my photos for social media. I love this app so much and
have a few presets on there that I use ALL the time!
14 GOOGLE CALENDAR: I’ll be honest, up until last year I was an old-school physical calendar
person, so it’s been an adjustment to move everything online. Very grateful for the reminder alerts
though, hehe.
16 UNFOLD: Such a great app to have a play around with different formats for your social media
stories.
17 MOJO: Again, give you more options for giving animation effects to your Insta stories.
18 NOTES: A handy place to brain dump my ideas for content, blog posts, etc.
19 PODCASTS: I’m in my podcast app daily, it’s my favourite thing to do whilst I’m painting! Current
faves are Dear Gabby, The Lively Show & Leonie Dawson.
20 YOUTUBE: Love me some pep talks from Abraham Hicks on YouTube each week!!
21 PROCREATE: My new favourite toy!! I’ve seen so many hours on ProCreate just playing and
working through ideas. It’s such an amazing tool, honestly, better than a Wacom in my opinion!
22 MY HUMAN DESIGN: If you haven’t heard of HD then jump onto the My Design App by Jenna
Zoe. If you’ve been following me for a bit then you know how much I love Human Design. It’s been
a game changer for me, and it’s just so much fun knowing your friends and family’s designs too.
24 SQUARESPACE: My virtual home. We have two squarespace websites now, and we love
recommending them for our clients too. So pretty and so easy to build!
25 ADOBE PHOTOSHOP: Where all my artwork is manipulated, perfected and turned into repeat
patterns. I’d be lost without my PS.
26 ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR: Our favourite tool for creating logos and branding (and vector based
patterns).
27 ADOBE INDESIGN: Our go-to for all our formatting of docs from business cards to brochures,
books and more!

30 DROPBOX: Where alllllll our files are stored! This has made working with clients a breeze!

platform. (Get 50% off your first year when you use my affiliate link - here.)
32 ZAPIER: Zapier helps us connect all our programs. Think of it like a little messenger that allows
each program to talk to each other.
33 KAJABI: I only started using Kajabi in 2020 when I launched my first surface pattern design
course. I love this platform so much as it’s really easy to use to get our courses out to you!
35 GMAIL: Love me some Gmail! It’s so simple and easy to use, and let’s face it, I’m on there daily!
36 GOOGLE DOCS: The best thing Google invented! We keep all our word docs and excel
spreadsheets on there. It helps them be updated in real time and allows all of our team to work on
them.
37 ASANA: Our number one organisation tool! We’d be honestly lost without Asana. We manage
every single task in Asana, from client management to daily tasks within the business. We can
assign a person to a task so that everyone knows what they are doing. Oh, and it’s FREE!
40 LOOM: Allows me to record videos and tutorials whilst seeing my face in the corner.
41 ZOOM: For all my client meetings and group course Q&A sessions.
45 SAFARI / CHROME: I toggle between both of them. Some are good for some sites, and some are
good for others, so I usually have both open at the same time.
47 IMAC PRO (2017): Only the best of the best for all of my huge ass files and client work!
48 IPHONE X: Time to upgrade soon I think, but I’ll always be an iPhone girl!
49 IPAD PRO: A recent purchase that I’m loving (so is my son - eye roll) I mainly have my iPad for
Procreate.
50 RODE PODCAST EQUIPMENT: This is very new, and I’m still learning, but stay tuned my
friends as I’ll be learning all the new software for this very soon!
51 EPSON PERFECTION V600 SCANNER: So if you want to start scanning our artwork in to
perfection, get hold of one of these babies. When I invested in this scanner my quality of work
instantly changed!
52 EPSON PRINTER ET-2720 SERIES 2: An epic ink printer with such true-to-colour quality!
53 PINTEREST VA: Every month my Pinterest VA helps me with optimising my pins and driving
traffic to my website.
55 COPYWRITER: I bring in a copywriter each time I launch a course to help with formatting my
words and helping me explain myself.
58 CONTRACT DESIGNER: I’d be lost without my designer Indi, she is an amazing Graphic
Designer and tech wiz!
59 LOCAL PRINTER: Although I don’t print a lot of stationery anymore, I still use a local printer for
small things like thank you cards and stickers. I also use a Fine Art Printer to print my watercolour
artworks on incredible German paper - they honestly look like the originals!
60 AUSTRALIA POST: Goes without saying, this is how I get my physical art to the world.
I hope this list has helped you or has given you some new ideas and new
things to try for your new or established business!
