• Mortar finished brick wall should be even or flat with maximum deviation of 5mm.
If it does not flat then a layer of additional mortal cement need to be applied to
achieve a flat surface (maximum deviation of 5mm).
• Use Portland cement C1+ (standard BS82040) with sand (proportion of 1:3)
and mix it with clean water. Alternatively, can also use an instant mortar screed
and follow the manufacture installation methods.
8
• The wall surface about to be tiled must be flat and

1.Apply the thread as starting point and use it to check on the rectangularity of the
installation. The thread can also be used as control to check the flatness of the tiled
area.
2.Mix the adhesive with clean water by using an electric mixer (mixture in
accordance to the manufacturer’s instruction).
3.Apply 3-5mm thickness of adhesive on the both sides of tiled area (at the back
of the tiles and on the top of screed-flooring). For a proper and consistent thickness
use appropriate notched trowel; size of the notch is twice the size of the intended
adhesive thickness. Apply the adhesive using the notched trowel on the transversa
direction, while on the screed flooring on the longitudinal direction (opposite direction).
4.Lay RomanGranit Grande tile on the upright position above the adhesive then pat
the tiles firmly using a rubber beater.
14
5. Insert tile spacer (recommendation: 1.5 – 2mm thick spacer) on all sides
of the tile. It will be better to use tile leveler to be able to adjust the level
of the tile.
6. Repeat point 1 – 5 for the next tile.
7. Insert the wedges into the spacer by using a plier; adjust accordingly until
even surfaces among the tiles are achieved.
8. Let the adhesive cured for at least 24 hours, and then remove the tile
leveler by gently hitting the spacer using a rubber hammer.
9. Grout for the gap can be applied 24 hours after tile installation.
