Training by launching life-boat and life-rafts, using Personal Life Saving Appliances
The Drill has been conducted in compliance with SOLAS, Ch.III, Reg. 19.3.4

Possibilty of any injuries during Life-Boat' engine start up procedure .

Actions Required for Hazards Expected

Additional training for the crew in Life-Boat' engine start up procedure as well as additional
training in life-boat launching procedure.

On Board Response
(Consider initial response - use fixed gas extinguishing? Are fire teams required? How should emergency teams
deploy and what will their duties be? Does LSA need to be prepared? What about medical treatment?)
Participants: all crew according to Muster List.
Location of the drill: At the stern.
The Drill has been conducted in compliance with SOLAS, Ch.III, Reg. 19.3.4 & Ch.III, Reg. 19.4.2
Sounded General Alarm & announcement on the public address order to abandon ship drill .
Checked Emergency lighting for mustering and abandonment tested -OK
All crew mustered at Muster station in due time. Checked operations of radio life-saving appliances.
Checked that crew are suitably dressed & lifejackets are correctly donned. All crew proceeding to FFLB.
Engine started and running 3 min ahead and astern.
Give explanation about Life Boat equipment, provision, survival in cold water.
Dismissal drill. All crew instructed as for usage of life saving appliances. Report on the bridge.

Familiarization with emergency situation to be performed.
The Drill has been conducted in compliance with SOLAS, Ch.III, Reg. 19.3.5 and
Shipboard Emergency Plan, Emergency card.
Hazards Expected from this Situation (including from any IMDG cargo carried)
Acid smoke from burning; steady draught due to open door; injury from fire. Stress and element of
panic.

Actions Required for Hazards Expected


1) Vents to shutdown. 2) Cut off power supply.
3) Fire doors to lock. 4) Isolate area. 5) Start emergency fire pump.
6) Commence evacuating procedure; first aid. 7)Use fire fixed CO2 system in Eng Room / CH
8) Start extinguish the fire, cheking IMDG cargo and Containers.
On Board Response

All crew according Muster list gathering at the stern, check for the missing crew.
All parties are the respective station and both Firemen are weared , BA pressure, fireman's outfit
personal rescue equipment & communication equipment checked and complies with required
Start fire pump &fire hoses were prepared in due time, medical team is ready. All ventilation shutdown.
Cooling adjacent bulkheads and rooms from outside. First aid team with stretcher and
resuscitator to be ready to provide medical treatment.
Crew were instructed how to act during starting CO2 fixed system.
Fire extinguished by fire houses, fire extinguishers & CO2 fixed system.
Finish Fire Drill.
All actions/communication as per QSMS procedures and Emergency Cards .

Check that personnel are suitable dressed to minimize cold shock, if direct entry into the sea is necessary
take thermal protective aids .Provide instruction in use of ship's LSA and salvage at sea.

Details of Emergency Situation to be exercised


The Drill has been conducted in compliance with SOLAS, Ch. III, Reg. 17.1 and Reg. 19.3.3.6.
Participants: all crew. Location: Lifeboat, s/s.
Rescue Team have got ready (immersion suits' wearing) in 2 min. Lifeboat was ready for
launching for 4 min. Lifeboat Engine tried ahead/astern for 3 min. No remarks.
Williamson Turn performed. At the end of Drill,additional training and instruction of first-aid
treatment of hypothermia and other first aid for the crew has been provided in compliance with SOLAS,
Ch.3,Reg.17.1;Reg. 17.1;Reg.19.4.2.2 and MSC 1/Circ/1447
Hazards Expected from this Situation (including from any IMDG cargo carried)
Possible injuries while gripes of rescue boat under davit, during embarkation,
falling objects from ship's side.
Depending of circumstances and situation.
Possibilty of any injuries during Rescue boat's engine start up and launching procedures.

Actions Required for Hazards Expected


Proper performance of the training course by stored energy system
All actions shoud be clearly carried out notwithstanding to different weather conditions, controled while
processing and regard to the observance of duties knowledge.

Alter the course immediately to avoid ship's propellers from person overboard.
Rescue team equipped with immersion suits. First aid team ready to provide medical treatment.
Preparing of thelifeboat by the assigned crew according to their duties.
Checked that assigned crew are suitably dressed & lifejackets are correctly donned.
Checked Emergency lighting for mustering and abandonment tested -OK
Checked operations of radio life-saving appliances.
Instraction of the crew about lowering method of rescue boat using stored energy system.
Fulfilling of the proper lowering procedure as per manufacture's instruction.
Lifeboat ready - 3 min.
The Lifeboat has been launched and simulated MOB , in compliance with SOLAS, III/19.3.3.6.
Crew have been trained to recover persons from water . All cerw trained and satisfactory know duties for
Recovery person from water and launched LB.

All Emergency Oil Spill Prevention Equipment have been brought to source of oil spill - 5 min.
Pump adjusted - 2 min. Additional training & explanations in the proper use of Oil Spill Prevention
equipment have been provided.
Mount floating booms arround spill film.
Oil pollution prevention team in protective clothing limit of oil spill and clean up
on board using hand tools, sorbents,emulsifiers, portable pump (if applicable).
First aid team to be ready to provide medical treatment if it will be necessary.
Further actions/communication as per QSMS procedures and Emergency Cards.

If discarded oil escape overboard.
Stop oil operation immediately.Take all necessary measures to Stop further outflow of oil over side into
the sea. The oil pollution team clean up the oil contained on deck by handy means into portable containers.
The Master mast without delay report to the local port authorities on the incident throught agent.Specialized
equipment and personnel for oil spill clean up are to be ordered.Make entries into ship's log book and oil
record book regarding all circumstances of the oil spill.
During drill crew were acted,instracted & trained accordingly Emergency Card.

Notification of MRCC, Company as well as planned and trained own actions according to
Emergency Check Lists and Contingency Plan.
Ventilation of the space, testing the atmosphere in the space, use S.C.A.B.A.

Crewstaff prepared anchor for emergency letting go. From Bridge contact & cooperate with (if required , tugs).
Engine staff locate in E.R. for reparing.

Any IMDG cargo emergency (fire , leakage , etc.) may cause serious hazards: explosion, chemical, radioactive
pollution, intoxication.
Actions Required for Hazards Expected
Immediate response actions: extinguishing or isolation of such cargo in case of emergency, daily checks of
containers.
On Board Response
(Consider initial response - use fixed gas extinguishing? Are fire teams required? How should emergency teams
deploy and what will their duties be? Does LSA need to be prepared? What about medical treatment?)
The crew mustered at muster station , chief mate familiarized crew with kinds of DG, possible hazards,
preventive actions.

Rescue team equipped with immersion suits. First aid team is ready to provide medical treatment. All crew members, free of
watch, keep sharp lookout.
Prepare launching of rescue boat.
Completed Search and Rescue Drill (Training)
Contact with MRCC or MRSC. Cooperate with Helicopter during SAR operation
Notification of MRCC, Company as well as planned and trained own actions according to
Emergency Check Lists and Contingency Plan.

Wind gale force 8. very rough sea. Ship lost 5 knots of her speed due to head on wind and rough sea, was
pitching, rolling and laboring heavily, shipped water on deck. List reached 15 degrees on each side. Upper
deck, hatch covers, vents and containers were being continuously awashed.

Additional lashing deck cargo and containers made. Report to bridge.
Compile heavy weather log extract. Notify all interested parties. Monitoring course and speed

The Drill has been conducted in compliance with SOLAS, Ch. III, Reg. 17.1 and Reg. 19.3.3.6.
Participants: all crew. Location: Rescue Boat, p/s.
Rescue Team have got ready (immersion suits' wearing) in 2 min. Rescue boat was ready for
launching for 4 min. Rescue boat Engine tried ahead/astern for 3 min. No remarks.
Theoritic training course for Williamson Turn performed. At the end of Drill,additional training and instruction of first-aid
treatment of hypothermia and other first aid for the crew has been provided in compliance with SOLAS,
Ch.3,Reg.17.1;Reg. 17.1;Reg.19.4.2.2 and MSC 1/Circ/1447
Hazards Expected from this Situation (including from any IMDG cargo carried)
Possible injuries while gripes of rescue boat under davit, during embarkation,
falling objects from ship's side.
Depending of circumstances and situation.
Possibilty of any injuries during Rescue boat's engine start up and launching procedures.

Proper performance of the training course by stored energy system
All actions shoud be clearly carried out notwithstanding to different weather conditions, controled while
processing and regard to the observance of duties knowledge.

Alter the course immediately to avoid ship's propellers from person overboard.
Rescue team equipped with immersion suits. First aid team ready to provide medical treatment.
Theoritic training course for preparing of the rescue boat by the assigned crew according to their duties.
Checked that assigned crew are suitably dressed & lifejackets are correctly donned.
Checked Emergency lighting for mustering and abandonment tested -OK
Checked operations of radio life-saving appliances.
Instraction of the crew about lowering method of rescue boat using stored energy system.
Fulfilling of the proper lowering procedure as per manufacture's instruction.
Rescue boat ready - 3 min.
Crew have been trained theoretical training course to recover persons from water
AS PER SOLAS, Ch. III, Reg. 17.1 ; Reg. 19.4.2.2 and MSC 1/Circ. 1447
