Performance Rating Definition


5– Far Exceeds *Performance has been outstanding against objectives and relative to
Expectations peers.
*Consistently achieves superior results and surpass the expectations
of the role, both in what and how of achievement.
*A role model in the delivery of objectives and in the demonstration of
commitment to and highly effective application of the RQBE Values.

4 – Often Exceeds *Performance exceeds the expectations for the role relative to peers.
Expectations *Regularly exceeds objectives and consistently applies the RQBE
Values to a high degree of effectiveness to achieve objectives.
*Extremely capable individual, performing at a consistently high level,
requiring minimal supervision or guidance
3 – Meets  *Successful performer, who consistently meets and occasionally
Expectations exceeds objectives and the expectations of the role, relative to peers.
*Applies the RQBE Values consistently in a positive and effective
manner to achieve objectives.
 *Strong and valued performer requiring occasional guidance and
support to achieve objectives.

2– Partially Meets *May be new or developing in the role.


Expectations *Partially met the expectations of the role but not all objectives have
been delivered.
*Further development, additional support or application is required to
deliver all objectives to the required standard, perhaps in conjunction
with a more formal performance improvement procedure.

1 – Does Not Meet *Performance is consistently below the expectations required for the
Expectations role.
*Achieves some objectives, however most are below the minimum
standard required.
*Not demonstrating the RQBE Values to an acceptable level.
*Will need to raise performance, perhaps in conjunction with a more
formal performance improvement procedure.
 In case of Rating 1 or 2 probation will be extended and the employee will be put on a
PIP for 2 months
